General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Shu just recorded the highest number of live viewers on a NijiEN debut and the main channel is matching that of Ethyria's debut.
I guess Mysta exceeded that, and Vox with 20k has gone even further, pretty good news for Niji EN. Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't go for mixed gender waves in the first place, clearly their audience doesn't care.

I'll watch the clips of the other Niji penis-havers but I can see the fujoshis thirsting over this vox guy, we'[ll see if this'll translate to viewers and $$. And see if they can collab with women.

Aww...there goes the seething and drama potential. This debut has gone from interesting to boring for me, fujobait shit is just not for me
Honestly though, 20K was the lowest of my expectation. I thought more people would watch it since this is the first EN male corpo. This is NijiEN after all, their growth has been lackluster recently

Alright I accept eating my words and acknowledge I was fooled and this dude doesn't sound like Connor, not Welsh peasant enough
I also have my doubt now, as in the debut stream he likes cooking (connor dont actually cook/ check his moving video), and he didnt put Jojo as anime that he like.

But he like voiceover and have goals to star in anime & game. So who knows? Haha

Well of course it’s going to be lackluster. With Niji EN3, gen 6 of hololive, and holocouncil a few months back, the vtuber sphere has practically reached its peak. There’s only so many people willing to give their attention to a vtuber, and the amount out there, it’s difficult to get viewers when you share your time schedule with 5 other vtubers with their own quirks and specializations in things from games to singing to drawing, etc.

Why do I get the ominous feeling Vox is about to lecture me for 3 hours on how the Star Wars sequels are the worse piece of cinema released in the past decade :story:

Oh, now I've realized why the design put me off. Its not just your usual fujobait design, that I can stomach. No, it's the CHINESE-type fujobait shit.
:story:
You know, the type that are usually used in webtoons and manhwa/manhua popular nowadays (particularly the wuxia stories), the overdesign type, with skin paler than your usual anime skin

Announcements from last part:
>all four EN waves' merch now on sale, Luxiem included
>limited EN Christmas merch/voicepacks on sale until the 27th
>next episode of Nijiscenario on 24th

The way they were hyping it up, I was honestly expecting something more. Does anyone even treat Nijiscenario seriously, or anything other than a shitpost?

Overall, most of them honestly haven't really caught my attention yet, but I think they're good enough overall to do a solid job. Pretty much as expected, Mysta and Vox stole the show; Mysta's got a good personality that could attract people, while Vox has a really comfortable vibe, on top of the obvious pantydropper voice. Also, pretty obviously, it's not Connor. As already said though, debuts never really mean anything in the long run, so it'll take a week or two of everyone getting comfortable to see their characters come out. It'll be interesting to see if dark forces of fujoshi end up affecting their growth speed, could be worth it to compare how long it takes the first one to hit 100k.

They didn't really hype it up anything more than the usual. Given that it obviously wasn't going to be a new wave, the only other likely choices were voice packs or merch (which was alluded to in the Mario Kart tournament). It ended up being both.

In any case, we know 4/5 of them. Shu is Tora, Mysta is Kaito, Luca is Java, and Vox is Calysto - not Connor. Ike seems to be a mystery.

Sana and Gura are playing the block game, with Ame joining 1 hour later. Supposedly Fauna and Bae will be there too, but I don't see their vids up.
Think Sana's positive vibes is rubbing off me. Despite everything, she's still putting on a postive front. I wonder what goes on BTS considering her numbers and such.
He is a unironical Runescape enjoyer, my new homie
Guess I need to give Vox a quick look. RS is a tick in my boxes to at least give him a shot.
