Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

This also happens culturally. Moderate leftists, when they have someone rush up and scream "RACIST" at them, will flinch and give that person whatever they want. It's the result of cognitive dissonance -- the easiest way out of the dissonance is to capitulate.

This works once. Maybe twice. Maybe a half dozen times.

But after a while, you stop flinching. It starts with a silent "whatever" but rapidly turns into either a "yup, so what" or a "no, fuck you."

Some of the race grifters in the 80s figured this "racist->flinch->gibs" thing out, but by 2020 the idiots on the radical left have flat out abused it -- like they abuse every other tactic the left has in their playbook. Cancel Culture was never meant to be used against every single fucking person the horde could get their hands on, it was meant to be saved to be used against big name targets like Tucker. Hell, they spent decades using it against Rush Limbaugh (the "flush rush" movement) where they workshopped and practiced the whole thing.

It's quite amusing to watch the entirety of the left just fall on their faces because the indoctrination machine made too many fucking idiots who know how to use the rhetorical weapons but don't have a clue about when or why to use them.

The big thing here is that Fauci's scientifically backed opinion on the efficacy of masks changes with the political season. Remember when he was wearing two masks when he was being grilled by Congress, even when vaccinated, because it wasn't safe, and then took them off when the Biden administration came into power and was trying to tell us how sweet the air tasted without our masks? It's wild.

Yeah we'll need the pity, Hochul is sending out state Gestapo to the counties refusing to enforce to do the job for them now. Direct contradiction from last week when she signalled that she would totally never do such a thing. I'll have to keep a closer eye on how this plays out politically.

Just say that enforcing mask mandates disproportionately hits black people, so like laws against shoplifting, driving with expired tags, assault, and murder, it shouldn't be enforced.

Science discovered during the BLM riots that COVID-19 is a politically aware virus that doesn't spread in crowds that are engaging in justice-oriented activities, so it would make sense that it tunes its ability to pass through masks based on the current political climate as well.
