Quick recap - Mumei was super worried that she was going to have to cancel her holiday plans to go back and see loved ones/family due to current events (guessing how omicron is causing relapse of all things covid and covid-related panic/lockdowns). She is also worried that if she does go that it is possible she'll get stuck for longer than anticipated and didn't have a plan on what to do about Animal (her dog), school, streaming etc. Sounds like she decided to just go ahead and do it anyway since she hasn't seen many of them for years. So she must have figured out something for Animal and is buying a laptop for streaming just in case to bring with.

Do the rrat/roommate info on her say where she is and where she is from? Kind of sounds like she may be worried that if she leaves she is worried she won't get let back in whatever country she is studying in? She was talking about it being the winter solstice and how the days are very short and it was very cold too, so wondering if she is canadian studying in northern US or vice versa and worried they'll close the border again due to covid spikes.

Anyway, she is also going to do a karaoke in 10-15 after that stream, so basically anytime now, if anyone is interested be ready for it!

It was pretty wild, she streamed herself (voice only, obviously) while going to the gym and singing Diamond City Lights, Black Out, and God Sees All while using various exercise machines. I'm assuming it was her apartment gym or something. Then she continued as she went to McDonalds to order a Filet-O-Fish, unmuting to talk to chat while outside and then again when ordering the Filet while ending her sentences in "nya." Unfortunately they were out of it so she had to get nuggets instead.

Wild is right. Literally going to the gym and getting fast food while streaming! Imagine that McDonald's cashier brushes off the weird weeb girl he saw at work, and then goes home to catch the latest Rosemi VOD.
All in all it felt like a stream where she really wanted to make it special for her viewers, and that was cemented by the "letter to fans" section.

Finally! I remember that Mumei had a good reason for always doing her karaokes spur-of-the-moment, but unarchived and unscheduled means this is the first of hers I've been able to catch.
She is having so much fun with it -- exactly what I look for in a karaoke stream.

I think Petra had already exhausted most of her anime "hot takes" (mostly just her disliking generally popular, mainstream stuff) in previous streams.

Finally finished catching up, don't think I'll be able to watch all of the VODs in full but it was nice getting most of what I missed from the posts here.

I'm a little sad how trigger happy Phase Connect members are to private their VODs from little yabs (thank you @Godzilla1984 for archiving), hoping Michiru from PC does more karaoke streams, and here's to hoping that Hololive leaves unarchived karaoke streams alone.
