Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

Ooh boy, Sander and Hope did a live together. Sander had gone to his influencer agency and the other influencers "made him start drinking wine at 5pm" so he's a bit tipsy and maybe spills more than he should.

I've downloaded it but can't get the video to upload here (probably too big) so here's my notes:

Sander joins the call and seems a bit uncomfortable, while Hope is definitely flirting. Hope mentions that people really liked the episode and enjoyed it. They start talking about the fall on the ice, and then Sander interrupts by panning over to Griffin, who starts yelling about Hope being "even better in real life".

They allude to having pasta (or Hope making Sander pasta?) later in the season (because Sander had pasta on his shirt) but "can't go into anything else" yet, which implies another date or something.

Hope lives in D.C. and flew in especially to see Sander.

They talk about the dating conversation. Hope says there's a lot of nuance to the conversation, and she wanted to have that conversation on screen to send a message to trans girls watching. She talks about wanting to take her time and not needing to feel pressure to find someone, and saying it's fine to "vibe with someone" and just enjoy that (cope?)

Sander talks about growing and evolving since the episode, but says there's more episodes to go. However he says things since the conversation in the hot tub have really changed. He doesn't want to spoil the rest of the season but he says he's "really proud of everything". In episode 8/9 Sander goes to D.C. to spend time alone with Hope, and apparently cries about something. He also says that Hope "has an idea" of his biggest takeaways from the season but everyone else will need to wait and find out (Hope smiles like a cat that got the cream).

Hope hopes that everyone keeps watching to learn from it and not just to try and figure out if her and Sander are doing "dirty things behind the camera". She wants people to take away that dating is a human experience and it's not about who has sex with who, or who ends up with who, it's about the exchange of interaction and treating people how they deserve to be treated (at this Sander reveals a tank top with pride flags spelling out "HUMAN", saying "We are all just human, people").

They decide to address how Hope feels about the comments made in the hot tub (as in "I don't think I want to suck a dick"). They've talked about it with each other a lot.

Sander and Hope met online because apparently Hope told him he needed to give black trans women space - "you're taking up a lot of space from black trans voices and need to move away". From that they had a relationship of being honest and holding each other accountable.

Hope is fine, the comments didn't bother her, she understood the concept. She tells trans women considering bottom surgery not to allow anyone's opinion about it to make you decide what's best for you, and "your person will love you no matter what surgery you have", but it's important you get clarity. Basically she wants people not to give Sander shit on social media, and she says we've all had growth moments and it's just Sander's having his on television - at this point Sander interjects and says "and mine is still happening now, and I can't talk about it anymore than I can today" and how the conversation in the hot tub is something that he thought a lot about, and by the end of the season he shares a lot more of his thoughts and opinions on it.

He then says "When I date someone and if something's actually progressing I won't be afraid to share it with the world". Someone in the chat asks if this is a secret to do with Peppermint and Sander replies "No, it's not a Peppermint secret, it has more to do with me or more to do with Hope". He also says in relation to the scene with his mother and Grandma Jackie "Well, she was... not sober". Hope laughs about that scene and Sander expresses exasperation, explaining he told his mother not to talk about his sex life publicly and to keep it to herself or to talk to him privately about it.

Sander complains that his hair is messy because he'd put on his "Sandy Claws" hat for a cameo (🤮) and Hope gushes that she prefers his hair messy because he looks like Eric Forman from That 70s Show when it's combed (...actually pretty spot on). Sander says he was going to say something really funny about his hair, but it relates to a secret about his hair that he can't spill but that Hope knows - but it's not really a secret, it's an "obvious" secret that you'll notice if you watch the episode more closely. Hope compares it to the "Ray J hat situation" - this refers to when Ray J made an appearance on Love and Hip Hop and his hat kept moving all over the place between shots, because he has a "stress spot" bald spot on the side of his head that he tries to cover up, so this is either about Sander messing with his hair to hide his receding hairline or Sander has developed a bald spot. Sander says "it is what it is".

He says to anyone watching this who is a hater - "well, you know what, you're also a motivator" (aw, thanks Sander) and we need to start spreading love instead of hate. Hope says it's better to not engage directly with haters and let people "just talk to themselves", demonstrating a level of self awareness that shows why she is considerably less of a cow than Sander.

We also learn that the ice skating scene was filmed 5 months ago, so that gives an idea of the time lag between the show and real life. Hope mentions she's in Mexico for Christmas.

Basically, they met because Hope yelled at him for being cringe on social media (lol). They go on multiple dates after this episode, including Sander flying by himself (plus camera crew) to D.C. in episode 8-9 specifically to see her, at which point he apparently cries about something. Hope jokes about the audience trying to figure out if her and Sander have sex. They allude to there being big revelations stemming from the hot tub conversation "which are still developing" but they can't talk about it. Peppermint is fat and Sander does not have sex with her, and Sander expresses exasperation with his mother for discussing his sex life when he'd repeatedly told her his sex life was private (but Jeanette doesn't understand that word). He's apparently insecure about his hairline.

If I had to guess, Sander caves and sucks the ladydick but eventually breaks it off with Hope, but he's maybe dating another trans woman now.

Sander getting forced to date men in dresses keeps him away from actual women for now and if he tries he can be called a transphobe for not trying hard enough to date troons.

I also love how he has to date the hulking Ogre Hope & not one of Jazz early transitioned faggot "friends". Fucking hilarious because it's way harder for him to pretend the dude is a woman if it's a full grown man & not a stunted effeminate eunuch with a high pitched voice.

I thought I heard Jeanette say "dip his stick". Not dick. Not that it reduces the cringe by much.

The Jazz "but it didn't count" sex revelation was curious. Sounds almost like what someone would say if it didn't work mechanically-- ie, it didn't fit or caused discomfort. Or, one or both parties didn't climax. Or there was premature ejaculation.

Think about it. He's not saying it didn't count because it wasn't true love. Something about it was unexpected or disappointing enough to make it not-sex. That's the kind of bad-first-time report you usually get from someone date-raped at a teenage party.

Mom and the TV network demand that Sander boff a tranny because that proves that Jazz can have a real relationship.
They might be forcing Sander because they can't find someone who is interested in Jazz and isn't a perverted troon fetishist too creepy even for TLC.

It was all about Jazz' adventures in the dating world but now it's about Sander because Jazz is a stunted, depressed, undatable fatso and TLC still needs to include troon dating for some reason.

It doesn't matter that Sander is an adult. Grooming can happen at any age and when you see it happening, you're supposed to call it out and protect the victim before they end up getting coerced or raped.
It's coercion rather than grooming (although the grooming already happened through all these years). Almost the same as Weinstein used to do to his victims. If Sander shows any kind of disagreement or sign of being disgusted by this dude, not only he completely ruins the "Jazz Brand", but even his own credibility. He knows he doesn't want this, but if he says it aloud in a negative way, he and his family can lose a lot.

TLC loves trashy drama (just look at the Honey Booboo family). Jazz went from the trans Queen that they marketed as an empowered, intelligent, and talented young woman. Meanwhile, Jazz is falling apart with his botched surgery, failing mental health, disordered eating, and disinterest in any of the things they were marketing him to represent.

Now the producers are focused on the family, just like they did for Honey Booboo. We have the wacky brother on his lovequest, uptight big sister, stingy grandparents, party mom, pushover dad, and TLC declares the family to be reality television gold.

Sander's date with the troon & the hang-outs with Peppermint are scripted shit for ratings. They probably did a open casting for a tranny & they bring on Peppermint hoping RuPaul's Drag Race fans will tune in. Sander's just going along with it to hopefully score with woke chicks and so he can avoid having to move out and getting a real job.

This 110,000%.
There is no age at which you magically gain the knowledge about how predators work or the understanding necessary to identify and extradite yourself from these scenarios. People who are victims of childhood abuse, narc families, etc. are especially vulnerable, as are people who never learned how to set boundaries, or who were taught that doing so is a bad thing.
Sound like someone we know?
Sander is 100% the guy that would get a girl as drunk as possible and rape her when she passes out. You can see it in his eyes. A cowardly bitchass wolf in sheep's clothing
And because humans are complicated, this part is also true. This whole family is fucked up when it comes to boundaries and healthy interactions. Look at the last episode before this one where Jazz has a meltdown about how the dietitian is "affirming" Ari as if this is a negative thing.
Not only are the Jennings children people who could be easily manipulated or find themselves in dangerous situations, but they could create those situations themselves because they'd see resistance or hesitance from other people as acts of aggression and/or cruelty.

There is a progression here... Mom and the TV network demand that Sander boff a tranny because that proves that Jazz can have a real relationship. Then Sander has to hook up with a FAT tranny because Jazz is a fat tranny. The next step is mom and TV demanding incest.
Emotional incest is absolutely a thing in that family.

The comments.

Also, note the white flag in that caption.
"Jazz" posted the exact same video but with this caption:

Also is the guy in the black tee shirt and glasses a troon too? Is he a hired "trans friend" for Jazz, like Noelle?
He've been there before:

It is truly depressing how bright and articulate Jazz is in that clip compared to the way he is now.
I feel like his way of talking hasn't change, he still uses the same words over and over like everytime he repreats the same thing (ex: "Ever since I was 2 years olds I always knew I was a girl and that's just who I am!") and his vocabulary has always been very poor.

Is Noelle even still alive at this point? From what I remember, he only trooned out because of Orange is the New Black and got turned on by the lesbian scenes, which obviously meant he was a lesbian in a man's body! I know he got the chop, then got depressed because literally no one wanted to date him (which was a shame because he was an attractive male), I think he changed his name from Noelle to something else, became a troon commie, posted woe is me shit on tumblr, then...nothing.

I find it extremely alarming that these kids getting transed, that there is no follow up on them after medical transition. No studies on if these kids are finally happy, worse off, dead, or whatever. They just literally fade into the background as the new wave of children are pushed into this.

I have been reading the animal breeder thread and think there's a parallel here. These are people who breed dogs to have debilitating health conditions (such as extreme brachycephaly which makes it nearly impossible to breathe or regulate body temperature or even sleep) purely for aesthetics. They breed daughters to fathers and grandfathers, and sons to mothers, to 'fix' the traits they want. Everyone who isn't retarded knows that inbreeding has deleterious effects on a population, but these breeders refuse to end the practice because how else will we get these adorable little genetic freaks? They don't give a shit that the animals live a tortured existence and are destined to die very painful deaths.

Look at the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel if you want to hate the world. They sell these dogs as cute little puppies or young adults to people who have no idea that a massive percentage of these dogs will develop a neurological condition caused by having a too-big brain in a so-cute-and-smol skull. Their beloved pet will slowly lose the ability to control its body and will collapse into a shrieking fit because of the pain. And yet, the breeders continue doing what they want and nobody is going to stop them. They will flat-out refuse to hear a word against their breeding practices and stick their heads in the sand.

These doctors and tv producers and therapists don't care about trans kids. Not really. Sell the public on transitioning by using cute children, then - when the cumulative effects of puberty blockers, hormones, untreated mental illness, radical surgery, etc start catching up to said children - quietly allow them to fade out of sight and out of mind and just keep doing it to the next batch.
