Man it's sad to see how much Kat has rapidly contributed to his decline in the last few years, Just the overnight change from I would like to have a kid to no I don't want one is staggering. Phil would be in a much better position in his life if he never met Kat and probably wouldn't have a gambling addiction and drinking problem. Because a man who claims to be living his best life shouldn't be dealing with addiction, I mean that's not to say he has done dumb shit with his money and drank a lot but he was never this bad in the past.

I have to disagree. Phil has always had a gambling and spending problem. Phil has had a drinking problem ever since he went to college. Addictions are progressive so of course he is worse now than a few years ago, but I don't think that has anything to do with Kat.

However I strongly disagree with your assertion that he didn't have a drinking and gatcha problem before her.

Piggy has been drinking heavily since his earliest videos and the mobile gatcha has been going on for years as well. This might have gotten worse since he got together with Khet but it is by no means anything new.

There is a really good bloke on YouTube called Steve of the Dead that does really deep videos about Phil and his fans. He's a forensic psychologist so his takes are really well thought-out. He does quite long videos, but they're well worth watching.

I'm very firmly in the camp that it is not purely a coincidence, but I still don't blame Katherine. I blame the fact that Phil took both the impact of his time with, and the loss of, his first girlfriend so hard that it has contributed significantly to the frightening degree of decay visible since 2017. It's all in the timing, not in who his roommate is now.

Phil has always been a slave to his vices, but he was less pathetic about it once, and I think it's because he had a legit trophy girlfriend in his life. For all his bravado and apparent lack of awareness, Phil knows exactly what kind of woman he has any business roping in, he's way too much of a chicken-shit incel to feel confident asserting to himself or anyone else that he deserves a supermodel version of his mother to cook for and clean up after him. He legit hurts from going from Leanna to Katherine, even when Kat participated in the streams he was visibly less satisfied parading her in front of the tards than he was Leanna. Then Kat exited, and his mood just got worse from there.

His whaling obviously picked up quite a bit in 2019, but years prior to that, when he was public about the games he whaled out on, he NEVER admitted the money spent. That means it was still pretty considerable, well before he knew anyone named "Katherine". He had a problem before, he just has more of one now because he's trying to indulge more in his vices to fill the gaping hole in his life left by Leanna.

In that, he's just like many, many addicts who send themselves to an early grave over the pain.

Yep! It was noted by Agent Proper that Phil at one point in time used to buy scratch-off tickets, sometimes up to $20 to $100 at a time, hoping he would win something big. Another example of the spending issues were those statues. Even some in mint condition can run up to $500 and up. However, Phil being Phil, he took it out of the box and broke the TF2 medic statue's glasses, but did a PISS POOR job of fixing it.

Like I mentioned before, his whole kitchen counter back in CT was FILLED pointless shit. In the podcast, John and Howard were confused about "Oh, you can't throw a few bones our way, but we can show up to your house and see a BMW in your driveway, and bullshit."

As far as Kat, the only thing Kat did was emasculate Phil because Phil, imho, is TERRIFIED of Kat pulling a Panda and leaving his bitch ass, but that won't happen UNLESS she can find another sucker to take her in. Right now, she has it made: work her job, play vidja games, have her own room, and make sure that Phil's DoorDash is out of the microwave. She couldn't let Phil know that he got his neckphones, and the melted candle had to run out in the rain in his Zelda pajama pants, while hoping those chicky chang wang neighbor's of his weren't home wondering who the escaped mental patient hopped the fence in their gated community.

Phil's awful insurance plan doesn't pay for dental or any potential disaster treatment, which Phil has successfully begged for a couple times such as the $18k broken eardrum that miraculously healed, the broken back healed by Seattle's magical air.

A plan he only got because of Obamacare, I believe Phil admitted he never saw a doctor since he was little. It's likely Phil hasn't seen a dentist for decades.
