Given the holes in the story, and the fact that Phil barely notices when he makes himself look like an asshole with his stories, it is the definition of impossible the idea of him noticing, or caring, when he makes someone else look like such a dunce. I have no interest in defending Katherine, but I will seek the truth no matter what, and what I see here is Phil making shit up and paying no attention to the way he's dragging his soulmaid under the bus with him. That suggests very heavily that she wasn't even involved, he's just adding her into his bullshit story because we roast the shit out of his sham of a marriage worse than he roasted that hunk of meat. He knows exactly how non-existent Katherine appears to be, especially since he knows more than we do about how little she actually partakes in at the Snort Fort.

Since Phil didn't bother to tell his fans which online recipe he used that was so bad, I had to look myself. Now I may be wrong... but this is literally the only recipe I could find with the keywords "Medieval", "Roast", and "2 cups of red wine" that Phil mentioned they used.

An online recipe that looks like it was made and uploaded in 2002 and it's literally only 2 sentences long. Now, if this is the simple ass recipe they used, then they are retarded. No pictures with only 2 sentences telling you what to do and you pick this recipe out of all the rest of them? Then, if this is the recipe they used, the very first thing says MARINATE OVER NIGHT. How do you fuck up a 2 sentenced recipe? I knew Kat couldn't cook a damn but Jesus Christ..

I don't think that's the right recipe, though that doesn't really matter, because the only difference between what Phil said and that screenshot is the spices (DSP said his version called for cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, garlic salt), and his version calls for braising the meat, not boiling it.

At the end of the day, roasting a piece of meat isn't THAT hard, to require a strict step by step recipe. My wife and I do it all the time (well, not ALL the time, but like every other week, on a weekend, or whatever), you just throw together some spices from your spice rack to make a rub, rub it on there with some wine, put it in a bag to make sure it sticks to the surface, put it in the fridge 24 hours, take it out, let it come up to room temperature, and stick it in the oven, every hour or so you take a spoon and scoop the wine/juices onto the meat to keep it moist and not burn the outside, a few hours later you take it out, check the inside with a thermometer, to make sure it's cooked all the way through, you let it rest a while, and then you're ready to cut it.

This whole story strikes me as just another variant of "I did nothing wrong, I did everything correct" and "default settings, the way the devs intended it"

It's always like this, he's always going "Huh? What's that? How do I do this?", while still demanding that people pay him extra money every day to be like that. And referring to a legacy of doing this for over a decade, as if that does anything but call attention to how fucking stupid he is.

And to add insult to injury, he gets nasty with people when it would behoove him not to, since everybody is expecting exactly that: a salty rant. A childish display of impotent rage. A complete lack of regard for tact or professionalism. That is Phil's rep, he knows it, and he feeds into it, without even having the decency to let go of his dream of a redemption arc where everyone forgives and forgets.

Phil has absolutely no idea what he has done, and continues to do, to his own future, and I can't wait to watch when he finds out the hard way that being such an infamous figure means that he doesn't HAVE a future. I can't wait to see him streaming from his old bedroom at his parents' house in CT, where he'll be until they croak and then he becomes homeless and never streams or does anything else he wants to ever again. All because he wouldn't stop being a stupid lazy asshole, no matter how many times life told him that he better shape up or face the consequences.

And has no plans to actually move on from his former self, his old brand, he's just going to act like it was never what it was to begin with. That doesn't work, when you re-invent yourself, you have to own up to your former image, and atone for it when it's not a good one, and Phil as much as admits that his rep is terrible by doing this re-branding to begin with.

I'm telling you, he will never take this seriously no matter what, ever. He legit would rather die, or is actually dumb enough to think that there's no way his rep can actually cost him his life, even though it's more than likely going to. Shit, it could happen even if he did a full 180 on everything. Just look at his addictions. How is The Guy supposed to attend AA meetings? He can't fix everything about himself in 24 hours, so even if his rep doesn't get him kicked to the curb, his personality will. And then he's fucked, just plain royally fucked. The booze will kill him, if some other health problem caused by his shit lifestyle doesn't.

Phil has eliminated so many things from his life that might have actually saved it, because he was too dumb or too afraid to face that fact that giving into his vices can end his stay in this world prematurely. He has no one in his life who either cares enough or is capable of helping him through a legit renovation of his entire life, and that just by itself may prove to be his death sentence, because holy shit does everyone else who goes through such a re-invention need help doing it, especially when they're an addict.

A quick reminder $200 and I put on my colostomy bag, $400 and put on my hearing aid and at $600 I do my insulin injection, Hey Derich nice of you to swing by, oh you got early release because of good behavior, that's nice.

In all seriousness, it's going to be way sadder than that, because there's no fucking way Phil finally caves and degrades himself with ACTUAL problems. He will keep making shit up and trying to hide that he's falling apart and doing nothing about it.

Lots of people try to stay young at heart, but you have to be far more acknowledging of reality when you live that way, and Phil is the exact opposite. You have to be like Jack Lalanne, who was in better shape the day he died than Phil was in his prime. Shit, even Michael J. Fox is doing better. His Parkinson's forced him to retire from acting last year, but that's a lot more time than his doctor gave him in 1991. He couldn't have managed that by doing things Phil's way. It would've killed him not long after Spin City ended.

Phil clearly misses the days when he was young, but for completely the wrong reasons, and he does all the wrong things about it.
