What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

I used to watch Honest Trailers as a guilty pleasure. They weren't amazing or anything, but they were short, and often worth at least a chuckle. Then came the Animated Mulan trailer where they were OBNOXIOUSLY political and ALSO dissed I'll Make A Man Out Of You.

I also used to watch a writing-tuber called 'Just Write' but he had a video on the Falcon and the Winter Soldier that was stupidly political and reductive as hell.

I unsubbed to Honest Trailers as well, but because they were getting less and less creative. I remember, during the role call, they'd call the cast members funny puns or name them after quirks of the characters or whatever. Over time the role call just kept being more and more awful reference puns. At some point I was just like, "I can't do this anymore" and unsubbed.

Stopped watching Tech Hut, a Linux channel, when in one instance he said "you know, the privacy stuff just doesn't matter to me" which automatically devalued any opinions he has towards big tech to a zero percent. Some people really cannot help lower the stock of their input in just one condescending sentence.

on a less political note, I've stopped watching Cody Ko pretty much since his hair grew out. binged his "That's Cringe" series and re-watched it over the years because it was hilarious, but he's lost his edge. These days the only collabs he does are the classic "Me and MY GIRLFRIEND watch videos (with my girlfriend)" videos, and I don't know if i've seen a good one of those on the site... all I'm saying is if women are funny, they're not making a great case for themselves on Youtube

I used to really like CGP Grey. His video on AI was really cool. But... the last 2 years his videos were really boring. That Tiffany video made me unsubscribe.

If you ever listen to his podcasts, you'll get to find out just how insufferably autistic CGP Grey really is. He used to do Hello Internet with Brady Haran, where Brady managed to actually ground him, but they unceremoniously quietly ended that show only for Grey to continue doing another show, Cortex, where it's him and some British guy where they literally talk about whatever new apps they installed on their iPads this week. It's insufferably boring, and seems like it'd only appeal to the kind of people who buy Apple products moreso for the purpose of buying Apple products, and less because they have a practical use that demands an Apple product. I listened to one episode and it really was just Grey and the other guy talking about different to-do list apps they tried, and which was their favorite.

I stopped watching game grumps around the time Danny was around, I dont remember which video exactly that made me left the channel for good. Danny's alright for a guy, he's a great singer. I just got sick of Arin just being an asshole a majority of the videos he plays. Plus a majority of the animators they're hiring to animate bits for them has gotten a bit stale on who they're picking.

I quit watching Dunkey's shit somewhere around 2018 or 2019. I actually liked his vids from after he quit League of Legends and it was refreshing to see a jewtubers play a bigger variety of games. I enjoyed his short essays on videogames too, but they got very lazy the following years. Difficulty in Videogames 2 was just "NES games are shit because i can't savescum in them", and i think he also apologized for saying TLOU wasn't a 10/10 masterpiece or something.
Also, when the cuck video was revealed, i knew to never look back.

I was casually watching some videos by a Youtuber named Jarek, who does retrospectives on old FPS games. He covered a wide range of platforms, even PS Vita stuff, so I enjoyed his stuff until I starting watching his video on the XIII remake, where he said "I wish people would take this pandemic more seriously" and then cut away to him wearing a muzzle and saying "WEAR YOUR FUCKING MASK."

The last thing I want from watching YouTube videos is the creator acting like a holier than thou jackass, especially these days where Corona panic has been beaten into dust. Granted, the video was from 2020, but I'm not watching any more of his stuff when I know he can act like that without warning.

Call me thin skinned, but I'm so fucking sick of people acting like Chicken Little over an increasingly weakened virus.

Like the clickbait reading YouTubers, which I'm fine with videos that are just reading clickbait/outrage news, but I hate when they clearly have nothing to say but pad out a 5 minute video into a 30+ minute video of just reiterating the same shit or saying a lot of nothing like a kid trying to reach a word quota in an essay. Examples are Clownfish and Mirror's Edge.

The feeling is mutual with Pyro. He was one of my favorite YouTubers before the Discords scandal broke. It was a moment were I got to look behind the curtain, and I really did not like what I saw. Him making that video just made me really angry with how he framed himself as innocent and I haven't looked back since.

I remembered liking this video when it came out and disliking the Turkey Tom video. In hindsight, I made the wrong choice, and stop watching pyro after a long time. As well, those long videos about Tik Tok movies were not for me.
