The dangerous part is that they're already informing the base and spreading the sentiment that if Trump wins it's illegitimate and a coup attempt that should be resisted militarily.
Put more plainly they're setting up a scenario where if Trump won fair and square they could pull an actual coup and then claim it was counteracting some coup attempt from Trump etc and a large number of these people will buy that story.
