A month ago I said I was looking forward to seeing HoloX interact with EN girls. That time has come. LET'S GOOOOO

Had to catch VOD for this, but very much enjoyed it! Lui's so good at English, and picks things up so fast.
And Calli is very good at teaching English, almost like she's done it before.

I think it's clear Lui really looks up to Calli -- and was not shy at all about inviting her to various things lol.

I do not understand why in a hypothetical scenario that HoloStarsEN exists, it is Kiara that people point out as someone who will not be collabing with them at all. I think that many more girls won't be collabing with them at first, and it will need some few girls collabing with them to eventually break the ice. But, if there is someone that I would bet on NEVER collabing with them, that would be Gura.

Looks like people have moved on from this conversation, but I did personally throw Kiara as my example, so my reasoning:

Far from armchair-analyzing her as a man-hater or anything, it's simply that she's had the most means to interact with HolostarsJP (zero language barrier + ample time) and hasn't chosen to. Rather, she's explicitly stated that she won't have them on HoloTalk until she's run out of girls to interview. So she seems like the obvious example.

But I agree that Gura likely won't have much to do with them either (if and when they exist), and honestly even half the EN girls might never collab with them.

Best bet is probably EN2 since Bae and Sana can speak the language. The only issue is that Bae is a bit of a fangirl and probably won't approach them.

She might be gradually working up to it. There was the time that Ollie forced gently nudged Bae into a three-person Apex collab with Roberu.
And I don't have a clip for this, but I was watching Bae's Christmas stream, where she was calling a bunch of people to wish them Merry Christmas. Chat was bugging her to call Roberu, but she said he's probably sleeping, and also that she called in on a stream of his recently anyway.
A call-in is far from a collab, but straight from the rat's mouth, she took the initiative on her own to talk to him on-stream at least once, so that's a good start.

Gonna has to miss archived version. Watched 20 min of unarchived. Favorites were Jingle Bell Rock and Halleujah. Kiara was fantastic in the latter and amazing it the former. She sang everything beautiful.

New favorites to add are Into the Unknown (though it is technically my time listening to it), It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas, and All I Want for Christmas is You. The high notes in the first were splendid, fantastic job all around with all 3 songs.

Lui said that this was her first pair collab with a senpai, and it's with an EN. Will have to keep an eye on how serious she is about bridging the branches. I don't know when she decided "I'm lovin' it" was a normal way to say "I like it" though, and while she picked up on Calli's Piplup pain her phrasing was terrible lol.
