I am skeptical too. This is not her first failed venture and it looks like patreon is not getting closed any time soon. If Lindsay quits for good now, she could also give ammo to people she is at odds with, who could now accuse her of following the tired track of career woman quitting as soon as she finds a provider husband. It would not be a good look for feminist like Lindsay. Question is what will she try next? Youtube videos are not an option for the time being, PBS gig is about to end, film and writing careers have failed. Maybe she will try to cash in on substack next before inevitably crawling back to making videos again.

Still, it's pretty amusing seeing her at the receiving end of mob justice after feeding it and denying its existence for years. I am surprised it took so little to chase her off the internet.

I wonder how long it'll be before Wine Aunt comes crawling back. She's too addicted to the attention and the sound of her own voice to stay out of the spotlight very long.

Maybe because Britney was kept a prisoner in her own home, mentally abused and financially exploited by the people around her, and was legally under her father's thumb for 13 years, unable to even have children on his say so? Meanwhile, Lindsay's "problems" were that people said mean things about her online and her vodka delivery service couldn't keep up with her. BOO HOO.

And then she wonders why people hate her and look forward to her fucking off from social media. BYE BITCH

The sheer audacity of this bitch. Its one thing when a YouTuber quits and its their bag on the line, but if she has a team working for the channel, and shes quitting because of getting cancelled on twitter, thereby forfeiting their jobs and careers without them even knowing whats coming, its utterly baffling she feels entitled to the soapbox to cry and whine. The sheer hypocrisy when shes called out this kind of behavior before and had no issue being part of the mob when she wasn't at the center.

Even after seeing how the very cancel culture she fed and benefited from ended up turning in her, Lindsay STILL refuses to acknowledge that Cancel Culture exists. I mean, why bother to keep pretending if she's fucking off from social media and her NPC circles forever? There's nothing left to lose at this point.

The answer to that is she's being careful to not burn her bridges because she's obviously using this to illicit pity and lay low, licking her wounds from the shellacking her career is getting from all sides.

I guarantee she'll be back once the Twitter mob finds fresher, juicier targets. Then she'll pop up to join the feast and it's back to feeding and benefitting from The Beast (as she calls it. But remember that it's not Cancel Culture, youse guise!)

You nailed it, that’s what this is all about. With the Mask Off video, she tried to pretend that she was some uncancelable badass but the sharks just took that as more blood in the water. I think she is surprised that people are still talking about it months later. This latest bit of crocodile tears is the chum trying to wriggle away from the shark that’s about to swallow it whole. Lindsay might be hoping for redemption but basically she just invited herself to get ravaged by the woke mob.

Looks like Christmas came a little late here, I’m enjoying every minute of this :story:

Precisely. Her previous tactic of "I'll act like i'm soooo not affected by this and hope this makes the Twitter mob seek easier targets" backfired, and all she can do is cry White Woman Tears and pretend that she's Going Away For Good Not Really Guys I Mean I This Time I Really Do I Swear.

Once some safe, easy target appears and gets eaten up by the Twitter mob, she will fire up the Wine Aunt Signal and leap from the shadows to once again talk about which Transformers she flicks her bean to.
