TGWTG Nostalgia Chick / Lindsay Ellis / TheDudette - aka Hotdogs in face girl

Her videos essays aren't deep or ground breaking either.
i mean, fuck, when did she even start doing them? 2016? I can think of a few people off the top of my head who were doing great shit way before then. MatthewMatosis, Errant Signal, and the Plinkett videos immediately come to mind.
Bitch you are 6/7 of those things and you still failed, that’s on you.

She's either pandering or fucking schizophrenic.

@Boston Brand,
Three questions; I think i can't reply directly to the post because it's too long.
1- Compared to hardcovers, paperbacks seemed to me like a premium product, selling less but for a higher price? Is that not the case? Are they not more expensive to produce?
2- Do these numbers include ebooks? If not how are they factored in?
3- I've started to trust your taste, so want your opinion on Andy Weir? I liked the Martian movie but didn't read the book. Are his other books worth giving a try?

No, Hardcovers are the premium product, and despite being more expensive to produce, authors and publishers both make more off their sales.

Ebooks are... complicated. No publisher wants to reveal their hand on how many are sold, because authors would demand more royalties since there isn't a production side of things. Thing is, a few rare exceptions aside - hell the only big publisher I know of where more than half of their sales are digital is Baen, its the foundation of most small presses now - most publishers sell more hard copies than they do digital ones. IE, if its a flop in book stores, don't expect Kindle and Audible to save it.

Andy Weir is a phenomenally talented author, I happen to be a big fan myself. Absolutely give him a try... and if you like him, I can recommend others.

Moviebob approves of these new developments

DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO FUCK THE LORD OF LYNN IN THE ASS?!

Some CA bashing to go with the lights turning off, I see.
Todd is sad. Then again, he's been actively courting Jenny and her friends (not to mention tranny Twitter) so even he, Lindsay's oldest cuck, had a backup plan in place. Without Lindsay, does he have the pull to stay in Nebula/Standard, etc? Maybe write for Billboard? Time will tell.

Also, Todd, you are now free. Fly away my hooded half-Vietnamese butterfly.
Not sure. Todd seems to really hang with that crowd, being an old part of Chez Apocalypse and all. I'm seeing this more as another flight of Icarus until I have reason to think otherwise.
How the fuck was she responsible for that? Video essays were already moving well in that direction long before she dragged her saggy beef curtains over to Youtube to start doing them.
I'd say it's more the idea that people think folks like Lindsay helped to make it where Doug Walker wasn't the face of video analysis. And Lindsay is more than happy to feed into that herself, if her Moulin Rouge comments are any recent indication.

She's quitting!

TL;DR is basically she's decided to leave the public eye because she can't handle it any more. Which she says in a very long form essay in which she admits that yes, Cancel Culture is a thing.
When she loses all of her money she will be back and the ones that will be laughing the hardest are her relatives that she has nothing but absolute contempt for and of course us on KiwiFarms.
Her life has been nothing but a train wreck of burning bridges and acting like an insufferable cunt.

What is with this retarded notion that the Internet has always been a hivemind and wasn't a bunch of separate communities that operated independently of one another in the past? You know, people had thoughts and discussions before everything became homogenized into a handful of social media platforms. Critical thinking on the internet was not created in the image of 2010s gimmick movie reviewers. From what I see, more often than not, these "groundbreaking" individuals are just regurgitating stuff they probably read on some forum they used to go on.

Also the fact that people want to have all of our most important discussions over fictional media is fucking stupid. So many actual problems plague this world, and Twitter activists love to complain about that stuff when it serves their agenda, but when it comes down to it, all these people really care about is distracting themselves from reality with dog water takes on media that will not change anything about the world at the end of the day.

SO FUCKING CLOSE TO UNDERSTANDING

SO FUCKING CLOSE TO SELF AWARENESS
I swear, there much be either some implanted microchip or post hypnotic suggestion that kicks in whenever these NPCs get on the cusp of self awareness

"Wait a second.....it is us who created this mon....."

*ZAAAAAAPPPP*

".....as I was saying, JK ROWLING IS A TERF! BURN THE WITCH!!!!!!!!"

Probably because as time went on, people were able to become more connected faster, and also people could also meet offline more easily.

Fucking RedLetterMedia did way more to influence Youtube video analysis than Lindsay Ellis, holy shit. Video analysis where you're not apeing the Angry Video Game Nerd was not something pioneered by Ellis, people were already moving in that direction.

People don't connect as personally as they used to on the Internet anymore. I think the problem has extended to real life as well. Now that all that's required to be someone's friend is just clicking a button and forgetting about it, it doesn't really mean much. Most people will see they have X amount of friends, get the dopamine hit from knowing they're not alone, and then turn around and jack off all day. It's fucking sad and degenerative societal shit, and as we see with ol' Lindsey here, it's easily exploitable for big money. Super regressive.

I mean, you're not wrong. But Lindsay and people like Lindsay did it to the point where when they were on camera, they didn't have to create characters or personas or have to constantly make jokes. Also, Lindsay has the narrative she created of "CA was holding me back and was keeping from making the type of videos I wanted to make".

speaking of CA...

The worst injustice is that Lindsay got the brunt of everything while the heads of TGWTG (won't name names, you can piece it together via "not so awesome") that have done far worse have gotten off scot-free and still have lucrative YouTube careers.

:stress: her fans really this stupid?

AKA keeping her likeable and successful.

These dumb YouTube creators need to take a masterclass from RedLetterMedia. Not on video creation, but rather staying the fuck out of drama and just working on your content.
Want to rate this both agree and optimistic.
