Someone should have taken her phone/internet away months ago, and only allowed her to access it when supervised.

The funny thing is, THEY DID. After the Raya drama, she gave up control of her socials (Twitter, Insta) and kept them open only for business related things because she said her agent made her keep them open for book promotion. Kaveh was in charge of the Musicalsplaining podcast Twitter and likely Elisa was in charge of her other socials (said because Elisa also mods her YouTube comments). She's been off Twitter for months! Besides a sadpost on Instagram about how she wasn't grateful enough for her supporters during the launch of her first book, it's been strictly business on Twitter. Lindsay even commented on Todd's podcast Patreon poll and said she couldn't respond to something on Twitter less than a month ago. It's only in the last 48h that she's been back on Twitter being publicly sad. Lindsay chose to jump back on the hellsite!

Lindsey gave Jill her first step up onto the internet in 2013 on Stuff You Like as Sursum Ursa (hosted on Chez Apocalypse). Eventually it travelled across to Channel Apocalypse after Lindsey retired Nostalgia Chick.

In 2018, after Jill came out and said that trans activists shouldn't beat up elderly ladies and bepenised rapists shouldn't be put in women's prisons and children shouldn't be given experimental puberty blockers, Lindsey did not cancel her straight away.

Seeing Tom get dogpiled despite literally not knowing anything about this and being completely non-problematic or political meant she probably got scared of backlash. Potentially she even got some blowback after telling Tom to delete the video. So I'd guess she panicked and decided to quit the internet.

Interesting! Didn't realize she and Jill Bearup had history. I've never heard of Bearup or Tom Scott, so this whole mess was rather confusing. Jill sounds perfectly reasonable to a terfy shitlord like me tho. Guess Lindsay just had to be a part of one last purity spiral before flouncing off the net.

Ellis and her supporters were - and still are - fucking poison.

I would happily listen to every bit of gossip you know about Todd, especially from the Gamergate/Nyberg defense era. Lindsay's pet follows her closely so he might be next to go.

But separately, I 100% believe that she's traumatized by the dog she fed biting her. She's been in the wokesphere so long that she has no mental schema that can help her step back and tell them all to fuck themselves with confidence. Taking a vacation from the Internet is a great, mentally healthy thing to do. She was long overdue and I hope she touches some great grass.

For all his failings Doug seems professional enough, he pulls his punches, stays on brand and doesn't acknowledge drama, a down to bussines kinda guy is harder to cancel versus the rest of unhinged snowflakes who feel like they need to step out of line and make a big political statement about literally everything.

She could have at least deleted a bunch of other peoples' work before she bailed. That's always funny.

Lindsay is sad because the world she helped build rejected her. The behemoth she made, this inquisitional, psychotic, victim hierarchal bullshit she helped push forward ate her.

She can't go on even though she's technically fine (Contrapoints is still making vids!) because she can't live with this. The world she wanted to see came, and it hates her. That contradiction is tearing her apart. She has 2 paths forward. She either rejects the world she helped push and become more reactionary, or she dies in despair from alcohol poisoning or something.
