The brow lines and eyes through the hair, always trigger me. He most definitely used to read the thread, idk if he still does though
This isn't as much of a sin, plenty of animated characters do this in modern times, especially anime, mostly just to help with character expression since the faces are more simplistic and aren't as expressive as a human face with all its various muscles to give you cues.

I sort of accept that as a drawing convention in simplified cartoons, since they're usually intermittently visible between the strands of hair IRL. The lower eyelid thing though had zero excuse.

Okay ... once again, but with feeling this time... WHAT FUCKING SHOW? COME ON! TELL US! Because I can't think of a single thing on TV in the past decade that would be popular enough to hold LaBitchboy's interest long enough to get his panties in a twist over. Nor can I think of one that was "problematic" and "transphobic".

Again, a perfect distillation of Labelle's de-evolution as an artist and storyteller. Original comic has a line from said movie so we get it's a fictional piece of media, ends with hand-holding to show relationship progression. Special Edition version has Frank's ranting come out of nowhere, and makes us think we're supposed to know what show he's talking about. And it ends with some weird-ass elbow gesture that doesn't communicate affection at all. Is this supposed to be some post-COVID thing?

What is the point of these redraws? It's like watching Jim Davis go back through his early strips and draw Garfield standing on two legs. Keep moving forward, Labelle, or quit.
Preferably quit.

Lol "cis guilt". Any of you feel guilty? Anybody?
I feel spectacularly terrible for having been born in a female body and subjected to a lifetime of fucked up expectations and micro- and meso-aggressions from everyone to landlords to random strangers to romantic partners to family members. Yes, so terrible. Anyway, how's the weather where everyone is?

I think you might be confusing Frank with Hamza, who is probably around Virgil's age.
I just realized that Hamza is probably going to be ruined in one of these terrible rewrites. On the bright side I can't wait for strips like the ones below to be redrawn because they show Labelle's nonsensical ideas of history on full display:

Not to spam the thread, but just once I'd like to see proof of these "ancient peoples" worshiping "the rarest genders". Who exactly is Billy talking about? It wasn't the First Nations, despite what Kent Monkman says. The natives just treated their feminine boys like women so they wouldn't be a burden on the tribe. I'm sure a lot of them were led out into the woods and tomahawked. I know the East Indians have a third gender, but I thought they were outcasts. Thai ladyboys have been a thing for a while but they're prostitutes and nobody respects a whore. I would be thrilled to see evidence of ancient tribes barely surviving on a knife's edge, venerating their non-reproducing, feminine men. I've been following these freaks for years and I have yet to see a concrete example.

Billie: "The rarest genders were respected because they were closer to the gods!!!!!"
I like how Labelle pretty much admits with this strip that she wants for all of mankind's achievement to be reversed in order to send us back into the dark ages of superstition in which she revered as a god, and any who dissent are labeled as heretics and cast out of society.

There is a small kernel of truth here in that in some tribes, the berdache/two spirit was seen as having special shamanic powers. In some tribes the 2s would ritualistically suck the dicks of the warriors before battle or a big hunting trip. Some tribes also had proscriptions against people of different sexes talking to each other and the 2s was able to transcend this. In some places, the 2s was seen as lucky or bringing good fortune, probably due to the ability of the 2s to focus on food and creation of material goods without worrying about babies. Huge swaths of North America had no such concept, and in other places the anthropology is murky. A lot of the people who knew how shit was Back In The Day weren't super excited about some white asshole showing up in 1890 like "Tell me about your gays."

But making any generalizations at all about two spirits is ridiculous considering that there are now 574 federally recognized tribes of probably a dozen different unrelated major cultures, plus we're talking about ~500 years of recorded history plus time immemorial before that.

May as well say "How have the Europeans treated The Gays?" and lump the Bell Beaker people in with the Ancient Greeks in with the Bolshevik era Russians in with the modern Spanish.

It's all Noble Savage bullshit.

Unlike White guilt, colonial guilt, and any number of other fashionable guilts, "cis guilt" does not even subjectively exist outside of LaBelle's imagination.

It's just another case of LaBelle trying to appropriate some of those sweet sweet oppression merit badges cool people like African Americans have.
