Probably likely that they have some sort of inheritance or wealthy family member that is just giving enough to the point where she is able to get access to those kinds of funds. He's just retarded about incubation time. The most recent place he was with other people was with family, he felt sick after that, and thus connected the two dots. The fact that he's been to karaoke bars and bars in general which are far more likely to host people who know they're sick/contagious and don't give a fuck about anything else but drowning their sorrows has completely flown over his head.
