Was there for the riots. Got into town as the shit hit the fan. We drove through the worst-hit section, Grand River and Greenfield, once things calmed down. To my 12-year-old eyes, looked like a fucking war zone. Remember riding a bike down the street and being passed by a tank.

My father in law was in Detroit for those riots. He said him and his friends heard a stomp stomp stomp sound coming from a few blocks over. They ran to where the sound was and saw tank columns and rows of armed soldiers marching down Michigan Ave into downtown Detroit. He said downtown Detroit had huge columns of black smoke rising from it.

A. Hitler reincarnated.
B. A James Bond level Manchurian candidate put into power by Putin.
C. A puppet being controlled by others.
D. A ruthless grifter who swindled everyone who ever trusted him.
E. A brain dead idiot.

Now, if you notice that some of those are in fact mutually exclusive, then you have more insight than your average liberal.
