Yeah, if this was 10 years ago then I would be excited, but after listening to the original song probably thousands of times since it came out I find it hard to justify the hype that was being applied to the announcement.

I wouldn't say the hype was that big. Regular announcement.
The hype wasn't about the song in of itself, but more about the fact they finallly made their own version. Everyone in hololive is part of a version, it's a tradition.

Apparently its been under production for a while, I just hope it ends up being as good as the JP one. I love the song and its one of those videos I would replay over and over but I was expecting something a bit, bigger since they gathered all of the EN girls for the announcement.

I hope they all sway left and right at the same time (except maybe Gura).



Seems like NijiEN took a page from Ame's book knowing that they wouldnt get 3D models anytime soon. They can't control their camera for shit.

Oh cool the announcement was a song cover of the HoloLive anthem. That's nice tbh. Though I feel those who were thinking it might be 3D overshot and some may be disappointed. Keep expectations low.

I always think of SSS as the anthem, maybe bc I mostly stick to EN but I barely know this song.

If it was just Myth then maybe 3D was possible, but I doubt they would have IRyS and Council's 3D ready already. And also with the new omicron restrictions I doubt they want to commit to anything right now anyway. Anyone who was thinking they'd announce 3D today was dreaming...

Yes and no. SSS is the official Hololive song but unofficially Fukkireta is the most popular video on the Hololive channel to the point of every branch doing their own version. 32million views total vs 6m on SSS.

It seems that Sakana dropped some money into promoting the video using youtube advertising once Uruka uploaded that cover. He also seems to have done the same for Michiru's song which had about 2k views total after a month (which is criminal) and its not at over 20k in just a few days. Smart move. Read the comments of Uruka's song and you can see that there are a ton of people commenting how it showed up on an ad and they did not skip it because it was too good (which I agree).

Well, Nene's outfit brought a tear to my eye. If you guys recall, last year she had the model redesign going on so she was left out of having a New Years outfit. She did, however design her own in standard Nene fashion:

Just finished the new season of Cobra Kai and my 13th beer in time to catch Ame breaking into an 80s classic, the new year is looking up.

Yeah playboard shows she made over $24k in that 30 min stream. Crazy. Also memberships opened up for the first time I believe on it. Wasn't there somewhere that you can see how many members joined? Between that stream and her singing one coming up, I bed she has huge numbers joining her membership. The prechat is just a constant stream of them already.
 
I am a little late for my time zone but I would like to wish you all a happy new year. in a world with so little to look forward to, the daily goings on here and the streams from the girls has been quite the blessing these past couple of years. so, here's to another year of doom posting, sperging and cute anime girls. cheers.
