Yes, it's true that punitive damages will almost certainly be reduced heavily. Doesn't matter. Even if the damages were reduced to zero dollars, the trial still bankrupt almost every "wignat" except Richard Spencer. They lost a ton of money throughout the two years that this trial has been ongoing trying to hire legal defenses etc. Let's go through some of the names on this list:

1. Elliot Kline was forced to pay $30,000 earlier this year and was locked up for a month for "obstruction of justice."

2. Patrick Casey cited the ongoing trial expenses as one of the reasons for shuttering his Identiy group.

3. Matt Heimbach went completely bankrupt and declared himself an "anti-racist" and left the alt-right to try and protect himself from incurring more expenses.

4. Jeff Schoep after nearly going bankrupt sold his Nazi group to an anti-racist black man and is currently preaching against hate on Twitter.

5. Christopher Cantwell didn't lose much more, but he's serving a prison sentence and his house is wrecked. What more can they do to him?

The only way that the trial wouldn't have been a major loss for these people would have been if they were cleared of all charges and if the plaintiffs had been ordered to pay large sums of money to each one of them to make up for the trial expenses.
