I think you are missing an important factor - "emotional side" of the question. While typical male AGP is always a coomer, for most fujos it's not about sex (or only sex) between M/M, its about romantic side (just dive into AO3 and see overall statistics) Females overall concentrate more on emotional side of relationships and males on physical. When a soon-to-be-troon fujo wants to become a man, it's not about sex, its about that gay romantic fantasy in her head. She just can't imagine herself in f/m relationships because she is obsessed with m/m. Therefore the only thing that remains is to become a man herself.

I truly believe a majority of them (particularly the younger ones) just want to escape the male/female hierarchy and read stories about people who are equals. Body image issues? Fear/distrust of men?
