I find it extremely unlikely that Tim himself would. But people do crazy shit and it could be an ex-employee that got burned, an idiot employee doing a joke, an enemy of Tim's (he has a few of them), an enemy of ANYONE in that compound overflowing with retards, an angry LO member (we did just have one carry out a killing spree and the LO's manifesto does embrace terrorism). Hell it could be that crazy homeless pedophile that tried to break into Tim's home in NJ because he wanted Tim to break the story about his innocence. There's plenty of potential motives and known suspects to choose from, but it's just spitting in the wind at this point.

Cops will do reports and look into it, pass it up the required chain for investigation. It likely won't go anywhere unless perp becomes a repeater or is a complete idiot and didn't cover their ass.

Basically. If someone phones up and says a violent gunman has killed two people and you just write it off as fake preemptively, if its real then everyone gets fucked. The police are an emergency service, it is assumed that a false emergency will be dealt with by the law. Thats the way it is written anyway but its clear that its become too easy to abuse by crazy people who effectively cannot be tracked after reporting a false crime unless they've made a mistake.

You know, I really want to make fun of this... But the more I think about the comparisons between the Branch Dividians and the Beanie Compound, the only real differences are scope, religion and podcasting. I hope Tim doesn't go out like David Koresh. It would be a lot cooler if he went out like final dude in the North Hollywood shootout.

Got to say his cohosts handled this very well. If you get mad or seem upset it will just encourage this type of behaviour and they avoid this even while going over why it's swatting is foolish. Then Tim comes back and gives an reaction that the people doing the swating will want, you can feel that way but in no way do you show it online.
