I think one of the reasons why Rumer hackjobs look so much worse than Thai or other "better" results is how they deal with the underlying tissues. The better surgeons don't just stretch the skin across the pelvic bones.... they leave the fat of the balls and use it to approximate the fat of the labia and provide at least some form of cushion underneath the skin.

They probably also deal more elegantly with erectile tissue with what I've seen in the last picture. It looks so swollen because over the hole where the reversed dick is attached, there is still tissue in the perineum that engorges when aroused. Previously that would have extended into the erectile tissue of the penis. But afaik we haven't seen aroused versions of the "better" origami creations, so who knows what happens there...

You know, that’s a good point - the Thai ones (at least the ones on their site) all seem to lack the signature empty ballsack lips that seem to plague even the most passing (not that that’s a tough bar to clear) Western amholes.

Because it's just not anatomically possible to put it in the right location. The location of the penis + bones/organs which really can't be moved (prostate, bladder, urethra) really limits where the "vagina" can be placed and the location of the scrotum really limits where the "labia" can be placed. As dumb luck would have it there is no overlap between the two so unless or until these surgeons either find a way to make the "labia" longer (which still might look funky) or start doing much more invasive surgeries to move around things like the bladder, urethra, or prostate (which could easily leave a patient incontinent for life).

There also does not appear to be demand from patients: Many transsexuals are happy with their results and I don't think I've ever seen one complain that the neovagina opens below the base of the labia. If the dysphoria is cured or at least not being chalked up to labia/neovagina mismatch even the doctors who really, truly believe sex change surgeries are saving lives have no reason to fix this issue. From a more cynical standpoint the doctors who are in this for the money have no reason to invest time and money into a revised procedure unless they can get it covered by a research grant or larger insurance payouts.

By the way, any young people reading (especially lurking trans people): physiotherapy with a focus on “trans healthcare” seems like a good career path with guaranteed growth, since problems like these are going to go through the roof over the next ten years or so. Trans surgery is the current boom; trans chronic pain and disability treatment (although I’m sure they’ll give it a more affirming name) is going to be the next one.

You know, I sat a good while trying to figure out what exactly I found wrong with her and why I thought she looked like a cartoon character. Then I realised it's the lack of brow - it just throws every other male characteristic off in her face. How long before we get FtMs doing face implants to correct this?

Many transsexuals are happy with their results and I don't think I've ever seen one complain that the neovagina opens below the base of the labia. They say they are, but how many are lying or simply in denial? If so many are happy with the results, why does the suicide rates go up after surgery? I guess maybe the truly delusional are happy with the results, but, why can't we instead cure these people for the hatred and dissociation they have of their sex with medication and therapy, instead of mutilating their body and genitals?

I mean if we are a-ok with mutilating peoples genitals, then why not let people amputate their limbs, get paralyzed, blinded, whatever, because they feel hatred for not being physically disabled? Why is one considered right, but the other would be ethically wrong? What's the difference from hating being born as an abled person and wishing you were disabled, versus hating being born a man/woman and wishing you were the opposite sex?

Though at least, becoming disabled can actually happen, whereas changing sex cannot.

In her most recent video she’s actually in her late 40’s IIRC. So it’s more like someone who managed to age pretty gracefully have all those years catch up like a freight train, likely due to testosterone and stress.

As a frequent reader of r/transgender_surgeries there are quite a lot of trans women who aren't happy with the placement of the hole / labia. The reason the doctors don't put the labia around the opening is because the stitches will tear during dilation. Some of them get a revision for this and they create a *fourchette* later when the neovag is more healed.

So I recall a while back someone was trying to find an uncensored photo of the guy who was growing a penis on his arm to try to compare it to the FTM phalloplasties, and well I managed to track a video down from Worldstar on the one website that didn't threaten to give me a virus. It has all the freaky qualities of the regular arm flesh penises obviously, but to me it looks far more higher quality (doesn't look hairy, for one). It could just be the shitty video quality making it look better though.

I must admit that her face looks decently masculine, weird but masculine. The voice however is very typical.

Testosterone is a Hell of a thing. Very few FtMs I've seen manage to look age-appropriate once they begin injecting themselves with virilizing hormones. The only exception I can think of offhand is Balian Buschbaum, who outwardly aged appropriately:




Of course, that doesn't mean she won't be subject to the usual host of unhealthy side-effects associated with taking testosterone. And, in the example posted above, the YouTuber's obesity doesn't help. Obesity visibly ages most people in addition to the metabolic damage it wreaks on people, which is just another reminder to us all to take proper care of the bodies we've been given.
