I thought of something and I haven't seen it discussed here.

What are the chances that HoloEN will be recognized in Japan when they inevitably go there? I understand that there are a lot of tourists and foreigners in Tokyo, but if they go anywhere all together (which Kiara said is the plan), is it possible that people would recognize their voices?

I guess it probably won't matter anyway because Japanese people might be too polite to do/say anything. But it's just a thought.

I don't think its likely they would be recognized, if I were to run into one of the JP members I don't think I would identify them by voice even though they all sound distinct when watching them.

That didn't sound very different from the Ina i'm used to hearing. Less uwu sure, but still very much the same voice, like the difference between "normal" Gura and uwu Gura.

It's not like the entire country of Japan knows about Hololive or their alters. If they went to a large concentration of fans such as Akihabara, maybe. But most likely they will be wearing masks, sunglasses and there are a lot of other tourists in the areas they will likely be in (Shinjuku for example). On top of all that, they will probably have a handler or another member to translate for them. As long as they follow proper opsec and don't post their itinerary or flight information, they won't have a Kiara/Keeki incident where there is a mouthbreather waiting for them at a point of entry.

Even then I don't think i would recognize most of them. Maybe Miko, Okayu, Towa, Botan, Polka, Coco, Korone, or Fubuki. Other than that I don't know if the would stand out enough for me to recognize as anything but a Japanese tourist. Also I live in a much smaller city than Tokyo, them coming here would stand out more than Myth, or even all of EN, visiting Tokyo.

Not a hardcore follower on other Holo social media outlets, but listening to the JP members talking about meeting up in person and going on friend dates and stuff a lot I'm surprised no one has recognized or accidentally run into them/overheard them openly talking about their VTuber stuff somewhere in public (or at least openly admitting it on the Internet). Granted they usually don't go into explicit location details, Japan has a looot of people so it'd be hard to track people by voice and what limited dox pics are out there alone, and VTubers aren't anywhere near the same recognition level as like the big J-Pop/K-Pop idol groups or anything, but still.

I mean Kiara stand out like a sore thumbs, while most JPs probably already check out Karen live concert recently so at worst they just want to “reconfirm the dox” though only Gura need to reconfirm as I can’t still put my head on how that face (unconfirm dox) can produce such unique voice even more so than Nyanners.

I thought Gura would be close to that of Kyoerus (the loli Russian girl who makes meme song on YouTube).

Amelia by voice probably but not by looks. No one really knows what Gura looks like. Doubt anyone will pick up on Ina. Only guess is Callie since its not really that hard to figure out who the room-mate is and Kiara although her japanese voice is slightly different.

My takeaway from it is that her old producer owned the distrokid account for all her uploaded music on Spotify and the dude nuked the distrokid account(?) - resulting in her music and album of covers on Spotify to go poof. Mana discovers she can't access the account anymore, and then proceeds to take obvious potshots at the dude on Twitter.
