Genshin Impact Fandom - Chinese game racist #BoycottGenshin *spends $100* *spends $100* *spends $100*

I was hoping that China law on the anti bussification of men would do more, but, it didn't do shit lol

Ittos drawn on cardboard, lego tier muscle bothers me more than it should. I wish they just put a shirt on him and not even bothered. Even the shadow under his tits look like mastectomy (?) scars.

I think im just peeved because it looks lazy
reading to leaks, those four are just the beginning. in the beta for 2.5, apparently more characters got nerfs. like, ganyu's outfit got more modest, some breast reductions and xiao lost his tattoos.

That’s just a rumour right now. I for one don’t mind the censoring of waifus. If anything, I wanted Rosaria to be more goth and I wanted updated models for Monstadt characters. Now all they gotta do is fix Albedo’s hair.

i don't particularly worry about censorship because they clearly stated that these are all only optional skins for the global version, they did the same back in the summer when they released beach skins, the CN server version didn't have armpits lol.

what i am worried about is the writing that's going to shit because hurr durr you can't say a fictional country based on a real country is bad. (game spoilers if you care) inazuma's storyline ended up pure shit because they wanted so badly to make a ruthless dictator likable and instantly waifuable, instead of going the more obvious route and y'know, actually making her a ruthless dictator. the resistance and the leader of it barely did jack shit, so much for an all out war

not enough of the fandom complains, but then again would mihoyo even listen if this is the kind of cash they get on garbage characters?

The shit with the raiden shogun being a ruthless dictator was stated as being a "new-ish thing" even before the story chapters came out. If you didn't see there being some reason shit going weird there was sus to begin with and just assume it's a censorship thing instead of an actual story thing I'm not sure what to say.
Genshin's conflictsare like megaman lore level conflicts. Something comes up that seems a new-ish threat unrelated to anything else? it's probably gonna link back to the fatui or the abyss order, maybe the treasure hoarders/kiragi if it's especially petty stuff.

The muscle is probably like that because of the limitatons and cel shading thing the game has going on. I wasn't bothered by it and just took him as a sorta lean muscular guy. I've seen guys built like that IRL, one of them was a dude back in highschool who was literally named chad and fucking towered over even the school staff.

iunno fam, this is the same game that had its chinese-inspired god incredibly weak, who then got buffed up in the next version after a huge stink from chinese fans. the same game that killed off a main antagonist allegedly because of the government cracking down on fanservice characters. the same game that blocks you from changing usernames and signatures on chinese holidays even on the global server because they're worried about shittalking the ccp, and for the same reason mentioning ccp is blocked in chat.

that's only a few examples, and three times at least doesn't make it a coincidence. hell, they literally just recently moved their rights and ip to singapore.

it's a lot more logical to think it's the corpo bending down to the government knee first than otherwise, but we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes either, so it'll all forever be a mystery until mihoyo comes out and says it.

I always thought it was due to finance department or something else stating, that Raidens banner should go first, and Kokomi second. Logically, however, Kokomi should've be the first one. That way we would've had a whole patch dedicated to the resistance business, and only after that we'd go at Raiden for a whole other patch. But at some point they were ordered to re-arrange the banners and had to rearrange the story accordingly. I think, finance management meddling is the most rational explanation of why the story felt so gimped.
And no, I don't think Raiden ever was a ruthless dictator to the finish. They were going to sell lootboxes with her, after all. And I can only imagine how they can potentially gimp the Queen. Possibilities are just endless.

Actually, if memory serves, Genshin changed writing teams before Inazuma was finished which meant they had to rewrite a pretty considerable part of the Inazuman story arc.

god that reminds me how We know from leaks from before inazuma that there's banner art of the fucking fatui bitch that got merced in the inazuma plotline and the lore about her somewhat implies she might not be actually perma-dead so we'll have to wait and see.
Shit it was legit fucking funny watching people getting pissed over her getting what was coming to her because they couldnt consoom lmao.

Where'd that banner leak come from? I've been following leaks pretty thoroughly and I've never seen any hints towards that. In fact, general consensus amongst leakers is that Signora was never meant to be playable at all, for a variety of reasons.

Although I'm not sure about the origin of that leak, I'm pretty sure that characters dying and then being revived is a staple in mihoyo's other game, honkai. I'd say there's a fair chance of signora being revived, maybe in the final chapters of the story when you attack celestia or some shit. Bonus points for le seemingly evil nation of NotRussia actually being the ones who help you the most.

That's fair, though I'd argue that if she were revived it'd be with such a different design and personality that I'm not sure it'd be worth it in the first place.

I haven't opened this game since i won the tan guitar chick last year
Is there even any reason for me to continue or should i just, tell em to delete my account.

I loved exploring and climbing over trash, but this gacha stuff is not for me
Gacha shit only kinda necessary if you want to reliably clear one endgame portion of content. Everything else can be done by characters you recieved for free. Even said content(Abyss) can be done that way, but that would require hella time. And I don't think it worth the grind, because it's just a bunch of arenas with a bunch of progressively bulkier mobs with a timer. All else can be solved by knowing how stuff works and properly managing resources, mostly due to the fact that most other content doesn't have bullshit timer and bullshit bulky mobs simultaniously.

They (the genshin impact community) has been harassing and badmouthing me all days. I'm having to use an oxygen breathing machine at the hospital with my family and boyfriend. Internet harassment is terrifying, especially to women. Please stop harassing me because of genshin. I've deleted my account.

This woman allegedly is a member of a group that mass reported the game to government agencies for being "sexist" and "erotic" to force mihoyo to censor the game. The group then openly celebrated their success and now she claimed she is being harassed by the genshin community and now is in the hospital. Doesn't it brought a tear to your eyes knowing no matter which part of the world, the story play out exactly the same way. Another win for the patriarchy.
Her dox is also floating around weibo if you're inclined to look further into her and this particular group.

This is probably what led to the harassment. I know the women in the game can look scantily clad like shenhe but with a government being so overbearing with their laws it really henders creative freedom on both sides like how men can't be girly or effeminate.
