Georgia 'LYNCHING' citizen fatally shoots unarmed black man ... Video Emerges, Grand Jury to Convene

The fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery -- a 25-year-old black man out for a jog when he was chased and killed -- was caught on video, prompting a call for a grand jury to review the case.

Arbery's death is being referred to as a modern-day lynching, as he was unarmed when he was gunned down in Brunswick, GA on February 23 by a white citizen named Travis McMichael ... who has not been arrested or charged. He also happens to be the son of a former district attorney investigator.

As you can see in the video, Arbery was jogging when he was stopped by McMichael and his father in a white pickup truck. McMichael was armed with a shotgun. Arbery appears to attempt to run around the truck before he and McMichael start grappling.

After at least 2 shots, the men continued struggling over the gun ... until Arbery stumbles away, shot in the mid-section, and then collapses to the ground. He was later pronounced dead.

McMichael has not been charged in the shooting ... reportedly because he and his father, who was in the back of the truck, claim they were trying to make a citizen's arrest. They claim Ahmaud fit the description of a suspect in a string of recent break-ins in the area.

After the emergence of the video, D.A. Pro Tempore Tom Durden has decided the case "should be presented to the grand jury of Glynn County for consideration of criminal charges against those involved in the death of Mr. Arbery.”

Ahmaud's family says the use of deadly force was unnecessary.

Here's the statement from the district attorney who was brought in to oversee the case and decide how and whether the case should be prosecuted.

Attorney Lee Merritt, who represents Arberys mother, claims "The series of events captured in this video confirm what all the evidence indicated prior to its release— Ahmaud Arbery was pursued by three white men that targeted him solely because of his race and murdered him..."

That isn't how it works. You can't create or jump into a dangerous situation then escalate it and claim self defense.

You can't just start the tape midway into a continuous series of events to pick a certain favorable point where "they started it" either. The libtards tried that shit with Huber trying to brain Kyle with a skateboard in "defense" for their bullshit murder charge too.

You should know by now how that doesn't work as a self-defense argument.

If Huber or Grosskreutz killed Kyle they probably would have gotten away with it. It was a pretty chaotic scene and if you just walked into it midway through it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that the guy who just shot somebody was an active shooter and everyone's in danger unless you can get the gun off him.

The actions these hillbillies took has far more in common with the first retard who initially chased Kyle down and tried to grab his gun. When you're the one needlessly provoking a violent situation with guns involved, you're the one responsible for all the harm that ends up being caused.

Except the part where he wasn't shooting and wasn't presenting a threat. All they had to go on is members of the mob yelling "get him!" while running alongside. Y'know, shit that you wouldn't do with active shooters being a credible threat.

It would have been murder, not self-defense. Literal mob justice. Whether there would have been charges for it is another story.

Courts can be sympathetic to wrong choices made in a chaotic situation with split-second decisionmaking, and you don't have to be right to exercise your self-defense privileges, you just have to be acting reasonably. In an alternate reality where Grosskreutz got charged for doming Kyle in the head instead of hesitating, I think he'd walk unless the prosecution managed to show that he was there from the very beginning and saw how it all started. Everyone that died that night was Rosenbaum's fault.

Acting reasonably against a credible threat. You can't just go blasting because you feel scurred and someone is shouting bullshit. You have to damn well know who you are justifiably homiciding and for what reason. You don't get to use the "chaos" argument when things are chaotic because of your actions. Do you not see the obvious parallels here?

There was no "hesitation" that's some dumb shit his friend made up for asspats. Video clearly disproves it. Reality was Kyle had the drop on him and pulled back when he mock surrendered. He tried to aggro again, Kyle took his arm. There is no scenario where he either doesn't draw and shoot first before the threat manifests based only on hearsay and "chaos" or after Kyle passes him over because he gave himself up (i.e he knew Kyle wasn't mowing down people indiscriminately).

Split-second decision making is judged here because it shows intent. The intent was not to stop a mass shooter. Kyle wasn't observed mass shooting and he went out of his way to not shoot people who weren't threatening him. The intent for Lefty was to be a righteous hero by enacting mob violence at their direction. That ain't self-defense.
Everyone that died that night was Rosenbaum's fault.
Jojo was the spark who lit the fire on the series of events, yes. But there's a bit more blame to go around than that. That the situation was allowed to devolve into a powderkeg over the previous couple days of violence, rioting, and arson played a major role.

You absolutely don't. You have to be in reasonable fear for yourself or others, and your actions taken to end that threat have to be considered reasonable. If you were part of a protest and heard some shots and the mob surged forward shouting "He shot somebody, get him" and you ran up and saw a guy on the ground shooting some faggots that were trying to hit at him with skateboards, so you ran over and shot him you'd be well within your privilege to do so, even though it'd turn out later that you were wrong and didn't need to shoot him after all.

you were part of a protest
Stop. It wasn't a protest. It was a several day long violent race riot. Gunshots ringing out and people getting hurt was a constant throughout. Only someone wishing to be a part of the violence would believe the bullshit and join the mob.

"That nigger stole a hammer, get him!"

That just makes it even more reasonable to shoot first and ask questions later when you see somebody with an AR-15 shooting people.

Who? The guy who kicked him in the face or the guy who smashed him in the head with the skateboard? If it was so "reasonable", why didn't he unload on Ziminski or the other half-dozen people shooting randomly during all of this?

Oh, right. Because he held back. Everybody was until Kyle got selected by the mob as a target. A weakly justified repository for the mob's anger.

Chaos doesn't mean it's a free-fire zone. The same rules still apply. If you uncork one and someone is hurt by it you are still responsible.

The Innocent Jogger wasn’t gunned down on the suspicion that he had committed a crime. He was shot in self defense by the man carrying the shotgun that he tried to grab. This occurred shortly after Arbury had been caught trespassing on a property that he had “jogged into” multiple times. It was a pattern with the man, who had a history of committing petty crimes under the pretense of “jogging” and also reacting with hostility when he was caught.

Clearly, we were deprived of a future Nobel Prize winner in the field of medicine. But a lesser man might get the impression that Arbury died becaus ehe was a stereotypical low IQ Pavement Ape.

Some assholes follow you in pickup trucks brandishing guns, demanding you stop. That is not self-defense, especially when you don't know if he did anything and you started the escalation.

Now I get it your a very insecure loser white guy who never achieved anything in his life, and finally, you have a place you can say all those big nono words you wish you had the guts to scream at some random black guy because you are so pathetic and weak that they scare you. Now I honestly don't give a shit about this, and I will have forgotten about it tomorrow I am only here to a racist like you freak out because some fellow racist did not get away with a lynching.

oh! this explains why three men are now in prison for life. thank you, helpful kiwi!

It's only murder when a wh*toid murders a kang.
correct.

It's possible to think that they went about it stupidly and still think that the sentencing was a complete joke. Especially when many people in the US and other Western countries have committed premeditated murder and have received much lighter sentences. The US and other Western legal systems are complete jokes and third-world-tier, at best.

Yeah, they should have received jail time, but life without parole is just insanity. You don't have to think that they were in the right to think that their sentencing was still a complete joke.

it's a bummer that we live in this world today, where people celebrate obviously racially motivated hateful shit like the sentence these guys got. it's not justice, it's just obviously political and racial that people want to crush some white guys and see black people commit crimes. it's all just ideology in action. its like covid, vaccines, BLM. people turn into orwellian thought police at a moments notice. it's all so fucking tiresome. lynch a couple white guys for defending their community against a criminal. wow, so just. such an amazing civil rights act, defending that black who was robbing people. that's so amazing. so progressive. lets just do a miscarriage of justice in the name of ideology and completely fuck the justice system because it feels good dabbing on white people. amazing.

faggots.

it's pretty disturbing to see how completely void of any pretense of legitimacy things have gotten at the heights of our most central and vital institutions. I don't think America can be saved at this point, with the disease having progressed this far. our political organs are failing. this is just another sign of that fact. what those guys did was somewhere between stupid and wrong, but it wasn't deserving of a life sentence under any metric. people are celebrating it like it's a civil rights victory for blacks and a triumph against white supremacy. it's nothing short of mass insanity. but that insanity is the mainstream right now, which is pretty fucking depressing. it's just the reality of life today. people are stupid and love to mob together and burn witches. always have. libshits are the same, except probably worse now because they actually sincerely believe that they're smarter and more morally informed than everyone else, despite being the dictionary definition of midwits.

it's just base emotional hatred expressing itself through the facade of political belief. "me team better than you team." humans aren't much better than apes, including whites. most of this shit is just barbaric ape warfare, taking place at the same mental vibration as monkeys throwing poop at eachother. hooting and hollering in fancy tongues about "BLM" and "white supremacy." everything that plagued our species 5000+ years ago still plagues it. we're really not that evolved. best to lower those expectations down to zero, because human beings (apes) will always let you down.
