It really is this simple. TLC subscribes to no morals or values. It’s not some masterminded TERF plot, it’s all about ratings. I also guarantee you that they know about their 4chan following, which adds fuel to the fire as the controversy also boosts their ratings. They definitely read this thread. As @AMHOLIO said, I’ve even seen boomer / gen x women discuss Jazz in Facebook groups for other TLC shows. And the wokes will watch regardless, so TLC can’t lose.

I interned in the casting department for a popular reality show in 2009. They actually made all applicants pass psychological and drug tests before they would officially cast them. This made casting particularly difficult, but at least they made some kind of attempt to be ethical. Needless to say this was not a TLC show. It was on national tv in America but the production company was based in the UK. If TLC did anything like this they’d have nothing to work with.

There is not such a thing as "normal" in woke ideology or idpol. Anybody claiming to belong to the group is part of it if they adhere to the politics involved. And for TLC is a good thing because they can use the most scandalous and histrionic people in their shows.

Also, drag has been a very important part of the Jennings' life, as I've said before. I've read progressives say that gender is performative, so what a better way for Jazz to perform his gender than with drag? The idea Jazz has about gender is basically the same one of this performers has.

But that's still really retarded conjecture, especially after the arc this very same episode where Jazz learns his grandma skipped her own mother's funeral because they abused her with diet pills. Sometimes situations are exactly as they seem -- Jazz is a fatfuck who would rather binge on thousands of calories of fastfood then eat a single serving of whatever slop the family threw together that night. You don't have to create retarded new theories just to say something original.

I think the "jazz's waking nightmare" is supposed to be a reference to Fight Club, when they find those journals.

Exulansic does like to show us all how smart she is, and I think as you said, some of her theories are wild and a bit fringe, even for this lot.

However, I find a lot of her observations fascinating, and food for thought. And she clearly is concerned about Jazz.

And then there was that "I dilate here sometimes" scene - to portray trans people as perverted freaks with no boundaries.

Would you do all that if you wanted to portray gender transition as a good thing?

This show is actually much more offensive to troons than JK Rowling and Dave Chappelle combined - and yet - there aren't any protests against it. Nobody demands to cancel it. I wonder why...

I try my best to watch this show around my normie partner so I can peak him more and show him the horrors of Jazz, so therefore I typically watch the new episodes late and catch up here when I can.

He knows my views on troons, and couldn't believe me when I said that this show was pro trans. We just keep seeing Jazz struggle with his weight and being a fucking adult and then finally we saw him give up at the end of the latest episode. The kicker for him was when Jazz is lamenting to Sander by saying "I feel like a joke" and then next scene is him telling Janette that he DILATES on his PARENTS BED. Of course you feel like a joke Jazz, that situation is fucking absurd, especially when you just went grocery shopping and needed to call mommy. And then his parents tell him that he needs to lose weight while laying on the family photo blanket that just so happened to be laid that Skinny Jazz is right between them. That is either some narc mom or troll producer shit. He also thinks Greg is a dumb fuck because he thought that a starfruit was a kiwi.

TLC knows their viewerbase likes seeing fat people try to lose weight (that's like half of their shows) so catering I Am Jazz to that market makes sense. But because troons are so dysfunctional it looks worse than your typical weight loss show.
