So I guess Niji have decided to just abandon any idea of making organic following and hype
Not very surprising, honestly
I think corpos in general are starting to warm up to the oversea reaction channels overall. I keep an eye on a couple on youtube because frankly it's not a bad way of keeping aware of when new music drops and gets lost in the noise because reactors are always gonna rush a video out.

But at any rate the one of them VeloCity or w/e I noticed T-Chan, the moderator of the hololive subreddit and the person translating English subs onto a lot of the girls videos, was hanging out and active in their chat, so I wouldn't be shocked if Holo's putting feelers out too for "influencers" especially when they're pulling them into hololive content as well (Koe and 8bit-drummer were on Miko/Korone's 24 hour stream)

End of the day I care less about if they're reaching out to them, and more about how they're doing it, if they're just saying "hey check our shit out" and they get some positive coverage because the person genuinely was into it, then I don't much care, long as they aren't trying to butter up positive press in underhanded ways then all the better that the drag-ass JP corpos are paying attention to western content creators in my book.

Niji haters:
Kinda lose any respect or credibility the moment you start writing off any critic as "a hater"

Niji: Hey btw feel free to react to any content produced by our talents, we won't DMCA you for it.

Average person: "that's neat"

Niji haters: "this is clearly a multimedia conglomerate conspiracy to replace any notion of organic growth with...formal permissions? How dare they"

Man 90% of my time is occupied with HL with 5% for Pomu and another 5% for indies but Niji truly can't do anything right huh.

You are making it tribalistic when its objectively true. No one is demonizing or blaming anycolor for taking this course of action, if anything it was long due.

Pippa lisp is the best streamer trigger I've ever seen.

EDIT: Pippa having a breakdown about leaving the house and "how nobody likes traveling". The copium is real and it is awesome.

EDIT2 : Holy shit this stream I Came Looking For Copper And I Found Gold . Massive copium . But I kinda understand . Pippa isn't crazy jusy schizo due to poorness .

EDIT3: She really is walmart pekora.

EDIT4: Holy fuck is this what america does to poor people . The rabbit is so broken it's sad.
Naaah it's what having a broken family and bullied childhood does to anyone with no support system.
America is probably one of the better places to be poor. Free education, free breakfast and school lunches, government aid, etc.. Its either use the system or get used by the system.

Ame was poor and got bullied but had strong family bonds and came out alright. If you don't have one bond or the other it's basically impossible to come out normal unless you have massive self-preservation.

It's not a bad thing to pay content creators to react/review you products/services. Plenty of mainstream companies do it all the time (you think people who shill Raid Shadow Legends actually play it?)

What I'm disappointed in really is that these content creators aren't transparent about being paid/sponsored (or if not at least contacted *nudge nudge wink wink*) to react/review a company's services. These type of people think that since they said it once is that it's enough for audience to get the fact that they were sponsored and may not necessarily adhere to what they just shilled

EN curse strikes again.

Recap of hawk English
- She likes nikujaga because her mom cooked it. (Breed rrats at own risk.)
- Announced Pekora's birthday live. "Her 3D model will update today, so please check it out."
- Talked to Mumei, Ina, Sana and Fauna about what they wanted to do in Japan and offered to be their tour guide. They told her to watch Powerpuff Girls and Spongebob to improve her English. :story:
- EN and ID collab on 20 January
- Calli has said that Lui's English is better than her Japanese. Lui thinks the reverse. (The difference is that Lui doesn't have to get sauced to speak English.)
- "YAGOO is idol. Lui-chan is comedian."
- "'What is your favourite game?' Do you know Professor Layton? ... Don't say Outlast. Shaddup."
- Weird turn into #foreveralone musings starting around 46:55
-- Afraid of betrayal
-- Chloe is "Just partner, right? Business partner." (lol)
-- Chat suggested YAGOO as someone who might change her mind and she just laughed. "YAGOO already married."
-- "This is difficult problem for me, about romance, so it's okay. Don't think about that, okay?"
- Talked about favourite music
- Is on Reddit (has been since December) and knows that people are memeing on her use of "I'm lovin' it".

Does respect or credibility change the objective fact that all we know is, according to Nagzz, NijiEn told some content creators it was ok to react to their talents. That some people then go "woah hey that's not organic growth, as expected of Niji" or immediately assume some sort of FTC violation is a bit sad really.

Also what even is organic growth? Buying ads to add play counts to your talents debut songs is most definitely not organic growth and is a practice that should die in a fire. But is any and all marketing considered artificial growth? What about putting up flags all over Akihabara? Or attending conventions or TV appearances?

Just for clarity, are we saying that NijiEN(I don't think it was anycolor as a while) giving react permissions is media manipulation? In my opinion it doesn't really apply in this case since it was something that was already happening and would have continued anyway if nothing was said. For Nagzz at least all the clips are viewer submitted and he rolls a d100 to pick the ones to watch. So I don't feel like knowing he won't get DMCA'd by anycolor is really going to make him make more or less Niji content since it's still viewer driven. Koe I feel like has focused more on his fighting game stuff nowadays to escape being "that vtuber guy" and I don't know anything about Noble except my brain associates him with an annoying laugh.

Reactions: Least Concern

Media manipulation? Hardly, it's not like they are puppeteering the streamers to use their clips, they just said "Hey, if you wanna react to our talents on stream we are totally OK with it"
It's a smart business move since NijiEN could use some outside help to boost their numbers (which arent that bad to begin with) and a welcomed change for streamers with the ongoing DMCA bullshit.

I still don't understand why the "not organic growth" comment bothered you so much, it's true, and I dont think such growth is bad.
Think about it Lazulight debuted 8 months apart from Myth, giving Cover a huge headstart on the Western market (on top of already being more popular) and on top of that every NijiEN Generation debuted 2 months apart from each other, not giving the girls time to grow their core audiences.

So yeah, they need some help with that, and I don't see anything nothing wrong with it, it's not like they are being scummy about it.

I really enjoy these video messages/performances that get sent it in as of late. Seeing a orchestra performing for pekora is a real nice touch.

Also I noticed the changes in her slightly updated model straight away before she even mentioned it... Looks cleeeannn

I don't usually catch much of Ashelia; is she playing it up for her character, or is she really dumb?
She plays it up. It's her character; a legally blonde style alien who doesn't understand earth. The situation you described is the tip of the iceberg.

In terms of entertainment, she's okay; in terms of maintaining kayfabe, she's one of the best.

If it was a new account, I would have assumed it was her who posted it. But this raises the question did someone show it to her, does she lurk without an account, or is she one of us here.
This isn't new. She directly responded to something I said on the Farms once on Twitter. Which still fucks with me to this day.

Obviously me and her have a special relationship. Suck mah dick, nerds.

Also please play Spacestation 13 with your new streamer buddies, Pippa.

damn she wont stop yawning. did she just wake up or something? sour throt, sounds like she's on meds and talked about "fixing" her shoulders yesterday.

"edit" turned out she did just wake up lol. fully awake now.
