WTI Crude is almost back at its high in November: right when Biden sold off our Strategic Petroleum Reserve in a desperate attempt to lower gas prices. As you can see, the lowered prices were temporary. Gas prices weren't as much of a topic of concern for the past month or two but expect it to come back with a vengeance. November was also when Ron Klain privately proposed to Biden and co. that he ban US oil exports, which would be DEVASTATING to the American economy. Thankfully, nobody has discussed it since then but you can also expect this idea to return.
The good news is that lockdowns probably aren't going to induce as much upwards pressure on gas prices as they have in the past. But it's still going to get worse, as Patrick de Haan (GasBuddy's head of petroleum analysis) confirms.
TL;DR $4 gasoline come springtime.

Like what? Even Biden is gonna call himself President for life, wouldn't he just be better of fleeing to some mountain complex and living the remainder of life there?
