Allow me to share one of my tales of modern Clown World fuckery.
This time its from my mother. She is a workcaholic business owner and based as fuck, really look up to her
Anyway, she goes to the gym (I do it at home because I cant stand the clown fuckery) and boy, everyone there is exactly what you expect.
Furiously wearing one or two masks and rubbing alcahol on everything like their lives depend on it because the man on TV convinced them that it does. She is one of the few that cheats by slowly lowering it when no one is looking.
Either way, she hates this shit as much as I do and she told me that while she was there, one of the brainwashed walked to one of those yoga balls and just grabbed it. My mother, jokingly, said "what? Not gonna splash some alcahol all over that?"
And the sheep looked at her, widened her eyes and said "Oh God, I almost forgot!" and quickly began to do just that.
My mother was just joking and that brainwashed simpleton thought she was serious. It left her stunned. But it does serve to remind us all that these people legit dont get sarcasm, to the point I think there IS something wrong in brain matter, some vital part is clearly missing.
Whenever I see them, I get DSP vibes "I did everything right"
God, thats peak hypocrisy...and they are none aware of it

It`s complex. There were a lot of factors in play that weren`t in Western media and are difficult to explain to people who don`t live here. The following sperging is a lot of interconnected shit that makes up the whole. TLDR: there were restrictions, but they didn`t amount to much, but people were pissed off anyway.

We had a kinda lockdown from mid-February 2021 until around the beginning of October. It is commonly believed that the only reason that it was put in place was to protect the elite’s precious, precious Olympics.
Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stepped down for health reasons in September 2020. At that time, people were “encouraged” to social distance, weak masks, work from home, etc. He was replaced by Yoshihide Suga, a frequent “also ran” who, though never particularly popular, had “done all the right things” and “knew all the right people.” This is important, because Japanese people don’t elect the Prime Minister, the Diet (Congress) does. The old farts and politics-talkers I know generally agree that Suga was shrewdly brought in by the LDP party leadership to “do a job” while simultaneously giving him his “turn” in the big chair.
The 2020-2021 New Year’s holidays came and went, and BAM! Lockdown. It really didn’t amount to much; restaurants and bars were “encouraged” to close at 8 pm, and were offered money to do so. They were “encouraged” to limit seating. Companies were “encouraged” to allow work-from-home wherever possible. Some businesses complied, others didn`t. There were no “hard lockdowns” forbidding people from leaving their homes; beyond mask rules, my activities were basically unrestricted.
The merest suggestion of a “vaccine mandate” ran into a wall of Human Rights and was immediately discarded (remember having rights, muh fellow `Merkins?). As of yesterday, the official vaccination numbers reported in the news was 79%, and no one believes it`s that high. There are things in place similar to what Western governments are imposing on their subjects, but are only used for the convenience of Japanese people—you can get a certificate with your vaccine if you need one (I`ve only ever seen one, from an expat OMG squee it`s in Japanese! bugman). There is a contact tracing app that no one uses. There is a “Covid Passport,” but (for now) it`s only being used by people traveling out of the country to other “papers, please” countries.
Despite being relatively mild, the lockdown was very unpopular and was widely seen as only being in place to protect the Olympics. There were protests, there were letters to the editor, there were Cancel the Olympics posters all over my neighborhood. But the powers that be had already decided—hell or high water, the Olympics were happening, the peasants` opinions be damned. They had already been embarassed by the decision to delay it one year, and weren`t going to allow it again.
At one point, the news reported that 80% of the Japanese people polled said that the Olympics should be delayed or postponed. This led to a comedic ambush of Suga, who yelled, “No one is saying that!” as he hurried off into his waiting car and slammed the door without waiting for his driver to close it. That was good for a laugh.
It was also widely believed that the rich and powerful were unaffected by the restrictions. No one was caught on camera of course, because the Japanese press is even more slavishly loyal to the LDP than the American press is to Democrats. But there were many high-profile “absences“ from the public eye, the most notable being Tokyo Mayor Koike taking a week off the job just before the Olympics for “exhaustion.”
The no-spectators, no-foreign visitors Olympics was the Most Japanese Solution Ever. I don`t think any other country would have even considered such a thing. But what really made it noticeable was that all the way up to the day before the Olympics, Japanese sporting events had spectators. Even the Olympic preliminary “friendlies” had spectators—there is a famous basketball nigger from Japan who was here to play for the home team, and tickets to the friendly game with some other country sold out in minutes.
Another optics problem was that people would gather within viewing distance of Olympic events, most notoriously at a bridge that overlooked an open area where one of the events was being held (softball? I don`t remember). The cops were out there to “disperse” people, but they weren`t trying very hard. “But what about COVID?!?!?” howled the news and the cultists.
The Olympics came and went. Suga had completed the task set for him by party leaders, which had made him very unpopular with the Japanese people. To no one`s surprise, he stated he would not seek re-election.
After the Olympics ended and the global Eye of Sauron turned away from Japan, suddenly the government decided to “re-think” how they would calculate Covid numbers. Now only people who actually needed medical care would be counted as a Covid case; if you just have the sniffles, just go home, no need to write anything down. Ivermectin is “not an approved medication for treating Covid,” but you can get it if you ask for it.
And overnight, Covid cases plummeted to almost nothing. Restrictions stayed in place for a little while for form`s sake, but were soon lifted. As of this writing, there are almost 2200 cases in Tokyo (flu spreading during the winter, duh), but there has been very little talk of re-imposing restrictions. We`ve been living it up ever since.
Japan was Omicron-free until Camp Butler brought in a bunch of infected jarheads, who immediately spread it to the locals. This pissed off a lot of people, and many (including me) wonder if it was done deliberately. There`s no way that two years into the plandemic that people as ambitious and image-conscious as high-ranking military officers would make such a careless mistake that would end their careers. Right now, all of US Forces Japan are restricted to their bases unless they live off-post, and they have to pinkie-promise to go straight home and nowhere else after work.
That`s a lot of shit, but there it is.

Maybe it's toxoplasmosis. That could be why the gubmint hates ivermectin so much, it might make the catladies sane again and they'd lose their voter base. (This is a joke, but...)

My dad noticed this shit too. He's big into football and checks any news on it daily, he told me that before New Normal™ he'd catch news of a player keeling over during a game around 5 times a year. Now it almost feels like a daily occurrence to read about some 20 something dropping dead from a cardiac arrest.

Imagine bricking it over covid in 2022. Sometimes looking at this thread or other covid megathreads I come across my old posts around early 2020, where I was decently concerned about this newly released virus, worried about my parents catching it and ready to bunker down in my home. Fast-forward to today, and for some people it's as if time hasn't fucking moved for these people. They are still the brickshitting people of early 2020.

So we have a variant in Omicron that the current vaccines don't seem to work against at all, and they have to develop an Omicron specific vaccine to deal with it, yet they still want us to get the original vaccines.
Does that make any sense to anybody?
Also, a TON of politicians have been testing positive for COVID lately. Like, a lot of them. This makes me wonder. When the vaccines first rolled out and you had Biden, Harris, and others making a public display of them getting the shot and it all stunk to high heaven to me as political theater. That very mistrusting part of my brain put the idea in me that maybe they weren't really getting the shots that they were encouraging us to get.
Well, with so many of them getting COVID, that means either the vaccines are shit, or maybe these elected officials didn't get vaccinated like they said they did.
