The reason being that Christianity and Islam both disallow charging interest to others while Judaism disallows charging of interest to other Jews. As such Jews had the ability to actual make functional banks while Christians relied more on tithes and Muslims just take a portion of the business instead of charging interest, so it's not like those things don't exist in other religions like some Muslim propagandists claim in America, it's just that they are done in different forms with the Jewish form being more apt to banks.
