Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

It was China's treatment protocol very early on and every bit of knowledge and common sense was thrown out to copy them. You know every country had pandemic plans that were updated every year too, and they didn't include lockdowns? Those went right in the bin as soon as Wuhan was quarantined. Sweden copped a lot of shit for staying open but it was the only country that followed the plan it had made in advance, all the other governments were winging it.

Now no one can admit they were wrong.
Biggest con of the century, and should have been enough to break off diplomatic and trade relations with China.

They even sent a team of doctors to Italy to teach the local doctors how to treat covid patients, in a way that we now know probably killed most of them.
This and the fact they also gave us the spike protein and told us to make a vaccine by having our bodies produce that, yet they won't use it on their own people still stinks to high heavens. Like giving your mortal enemy apology cookies you baked yourself.

"Those are candy razor blades... trust me."

In dissent, the court's three liberals argued that it was the court that was overreaching by substituting its judgment for that of health experts. “Acting outside of its competence and without legal basis, the Court displaces the judgments of the Government officials given the responsibility to respond to workplace health emergencies,” Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor wrote in a joint dissent.
You fucking clowns.

Your job isn't to morally impugn things you personally don't like. It's to interpret the LAW, and using OSHA to demand private citizens have medical procedures of any kind is ridiculously outside the purview of OSHA's stated purpose. Car accidents are a hazard. They are not an "occupational" hazard for accountants commuting by car. Obesity is a hazard, this does not mean OSHA should forbid office vending machines.

These three bench legislators should be disbarred.

The so-called fact checkers come to the rescue of Pfizer CEO who tells his comments about Omnicron was taken out of context, yeah, right...

In an interview on Monday with Yahoo Finance, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that three doses of the Pfizer vaccine offer reasonable protection against hospitalization and death due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and that two doses offer only limited protection from specifically the Omicron variant. His comments were misrepresented and circulated online, according to Reuters and Snopes. Experts have said current COVID-19 vaccines may need to be updated to ensure they are effective against Omicron and future variants. Bourla also said on Monday that Pfizer is working on a new version of the vaccine that may be ready in March.

Dude what the fuck is up with the ventilators.

Ventilators are for when your lungs are not mechanically able to function. That's it.

Doctors know this.
The Government decides what appropriate treatment is.

If you don't do it, you don't get Government grants and IIRC Insurance won't pay you. It's a killshot for any medical practice.

If the pencil pushers say ventilators are appropriate, it doesn't matter what the doctors think.

Doesn't matter. Not only do doctors swear an oath, providing medical treatment that you KNOW to be harmful that leads to death is

I've noticed they like to pull the penis fear card every time cases go up or vax enthusiasm starts to wane. I'm surprised this isn't on the front page of /r/coronavirus (although NYP has had a lot of articles that go against the narrative so maybe they've banned it), anytime there's a fear porn story going around about COVID causing erectile dysfunction there's always like 3-4 articles on the front page about it.

I'm genuinely shocked that the mandate was blocked today. No news from my company about it. I'm kind of worried they'll be like, "Well, it's been working out great for us in New York, we'll just do it company wide anyway!" Never mind that the majority of people working in New York are in corporate offices and not in stores and can work from home whenever they feel like it.

In situations where people are dying in large numbers and the public wants to do insane unconstitutional things: that’s when the courts need to step in and protect the rights of the citizenry to refuse vaccination. And since day 1 it’s been impossible to take this administration seriously, literally everyone in it is an exceptional individual who has a unique talent to fuck up in ways even their worst enemies couldn’t have come up with. Mayor Pete is nowhere to be found (probably breastfeeding), Kamala hires child actors and makes herself look even more out of touch every time she opens her mouth, and Biden is either confused, angry, or says something fucking stupid (usually a combination). Biden should be thanking the court for bailing him out of a complete disaster where he either lost politically by revoking the mandate or had the economy crash when workers revolted and left their jobs at big companies.
