I feel like they've been drifting more into the SJW direction in recent years often complaining about exploitation of women in movies, never acknowledging that it's those women choosing to participate in movies where they for example have to be nude etc.
They were talking about that shit in the earliest BotW episodes. It isn't a new trend of theirs.

Checked in on their Twitter just to see and found it funny Mike got bullied into including an artist credit on that Smiling Friends promo picture. Everyone in the comments was whining at him to credit the artist. Was it not an actual Adult Swim promo? Because that is what it looked like and I'm sure that is what Mike assumed it was before sharing it. Why is twitter so obsessed with tagging everyone who ever doodled anything? If you make a promotional image for a TV show, and someone from that TV show used your promotional image to promote said show, why do you need to be a part of it too?

Crediting artists for their work is a pretty reasonable stance, and nobody really seemed up in arms about it. They just informed RLM who the artist was, and they added it to the tweet. If there were some cows raging about art theft that I missed, feel free to post them.

But it appeared to be a normal promotional image? Outside of twitter you don't usually see commercials putting a credit at the end "btw this was animated by joe blow studio". I could understand if Mike pulled some random fan art of his character or something but this looked like a normal every day ad. Which is unusual to see people balk about credit over.

Maybe, and you're right that they shouldn't have to if it's a promo image, but even then it's nice to credit the artist if they have a twitter. I guess on twitter there is always the underlying threat of "do this, or else", but I don't think there was any antagonism in this specific exchange. And I'm sure RLM can relate to a smaller artist getting a little exposure from them, considering they all come from a creative background. I guess it's a matter of perspective.

Can't say I blame them after the artist who did those Rawhead Rex comic images got their original HITB taken down for copyright infringement. I have to say that I do think that just using those images as quick visual aids would probably fall under fair use at the end of the day.

Also, in this day and age twitter artist need to do more watermarking on their images just so when stuff spreads the source is easily searchable.

I had no idea Bozo was still a thing in the mid 80s. Our local TV clown show went off the air when I was like 5 years old and I only have fuzzy vague memories of it. That type of local children's show was basically dead after that.
And so I kind of felt like Krusty the Clown was an anachronism on The Simpsons.
Krusty is a metaphorical clown.

I want more Trek Reviews, it's where Mike & Rich shine, I love the RLM lads but they're not as Cine-literate as they should be given they fucking review films for a living yet the extent of their knowledge is often "Star Wars, George Lucas".
Although I'd love a new Plinkett video, the Star Trek Picard Reviews were difficult to enjoy since the show was such shit, that ending though.

Every so often I do a Google deep dive to see if anything interesting on the boys pops up. Apparently Mike's dad passed away in April. Seems like it may have been lung cancer? Interesting to note that this all but confirms that Mike is not married nor does he have kids since no spouse or children are listed. That's a shame, never easy to lose your dad. And while 74 is old, in an age where people are living long and longer it doesn't feel that old.

"Star Wars, George Lucas" is all modern filmmakers seem to know. And that's New Trilogy Star Wars and George Lucas, not Original Trilogy Star Wars and George Lucas.
