5'4", 5'8" ... Whichever one it is, she is still considered morbidly obese regardless.

If she's 5'4" or shorter, then her BMI is over 50 ... Even worse. Amazing how Amy claims to no longer be obese.

I don't think that Amy is being delusional about her weight, per se; I just think she's stunningly ignorant about it. Plus, in a way, I guess I'd feel much healthier if I spent most of my time around Tammy, too. lol.

Did you see in one the season 3 episodes where Chris, Amy, and Tammy are sitting in the couch. Tammy looks the same size as both of them combined. Bitch is massive as blob.

On shows like My 600lb Life you never see the obese person at the centre of a normal family. I don't think it's because the family has had to adjust around the needs of the individual; the person was allowed to get to that size by being surrounded by enablers, feeders, fellow food addicts or kids who grew up as carers. In a normal set up, a person so obese would have a family unwilling to bring junk food in and wait on them hand and foot. Tantrums like Tammy's would lead a normal family to leave her to social workers to deal with.

In Tammy's case, she's a lost cause because of the wonders of the internet. In years gone by, deathfats could just sit at home watching TV. They'd be lucky if they could get pizza over the phone and delivered to their lap. Yet Tammy has her mobile and can get whatever she likes: any food, a BBW chaser's cock, asspats from fans, etc. From the confines of her sofa she can interact with the world. Interacting with doctors, dieticians, physiotherapists, etc. in real life is a bit tedious when she can go on TikTok and tell them she OK.

It would be an improvement if they could get Tammy off her phone and establish a healthier habit of watching telly.

I’ve never seen this mentioned but I always notice it so I’ll say it now. The deliberate low camera angle to show off their fat as much as possible by getting most of their body in frame goes to show why TLC are completely morally corrupt but very clever.

I’ve noticed that too. TLC feels the need to get every square inch on film as if we’re unaware of their girth. They also feel the need to keep filming Chris wearing those hideous khaki shorts. It looks like he has a giant camel toe! Where are his balls? In some episodes, if you listen VERY carefully, you can hear his nuts crying for help.

I rewatched an episode of season 1 for background noise and it’s hard to believe Tammy wasn’t always such a bitch. Maybe it was just for the cameras, but when her family would confront her about weight she’d actually be receptive even if only a tiny bit and still they’d argue, it wasn’t a complete shutdown like she does now. She’d talk about weight loss way more. Seems as though she gave up in season 2 and became fully retarded in season 3. Don’t get me wrong, she was already pretty retarded, but there was signs of intelligence even in season 2. Now there’s nothing.

Disagree because Tammy has always clearly been retarded...and gets her kicks from her family having to show their "love" by attending to her needs.

Her family "should be grateful because they don't have to wipe my butt" was the kicker for me...but the electric wheelchair was "for their benefit not mine" sealed the deal.
