Logan got scammed out of $3.5 million on some rare Pokémon cards:

The box was gutted and refilled with GI Joe cards. A company that specializes in reviewing vintage trading cards, the Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE), was initially brought in some time ago to verify if the boxes seemed legit, which they believed to be the case at the time. Though after further speculation, they opened the box to reveal the contents being a total sham.

Unsurprisingly, the BBCE's reputation took a massive hit from this massive blunder. It's a really bad look to say the least, considering their business was all about verifying expensive cards for collectors to purchase.
They tried to address the fallout on Twitter, though it hasn't gone over very well, considering various Pokémon nerds debunked the box's authenticity from their own rooms while an "expert" miserably failed to verify it in-person:

Assuming this was the same guy, Logan's "card dealer" has been called out in the past for being super sketchy with some of the deals he's made in the past This was not the first time this had happened. I recommend reading through this thread from last year for some additional context:
This dude's a fucking retard. This isn't even the first time he's gotten scammed this badly, on an episode of his own fucking podcast he traded with Aaron Carter one of his chains with one that was allegedly 50,000 dollars (it was only around 6000 dollars). The holes in his head must be increasing or something

I'm glad he got ripped off. Fuck Logan Paul and his shithead brother, too.
After watching that video, I am almost certain that this whole thing is fake. The original story of how the box was "found" was very blatantly a lie, to the point I cant imagine anyone in that industry would fall for it. Im willing to bet this is all for free social media clout/news and media coverage to promote his new hydration drink that came out last week.

good.

Why is this featured? Do people really care about how this guy mismanages his money? like to the point of sadistic joy at his stupid blunders. Kiwifarms seems like it's always walking the tightrope of obsessive weirdoes and just having a good time laughing at "exceptional individuals"

Serves him right for spending enough money to feed a small town for a year or large family for a lifetime on fucking cardboard cards painted with a weeb kids show and game pictures.

If you were a regular person that was not a celebrity, getting scammed out of $3.5 million would be a real near-death experience.

If you’re Logan Paul, you’ll be able to brush it off.
Yes, exactly. I'm sure it is still a bummer to lose $3.5 Million but it's the equivalent to an ordinary joe getting scammed out of few thousand bucks.

Logan Paul's priority is to continue being an A-List E-Celeb. So at the end of the day he still wins with this loss.

I had a feeling you guys would eventually pick up on this, I follow the Pokemon TCG scene and I play the modern TCG now and then and Logan Paul has been nothing but a cancer on said community since mid-2020.

That said, I hate to give you this news but Logan Paul DID get a refund from the person he bought the case from and now THAT person is lawyering up due to the person he bought the case from being a shady motherfucker.
I'm confused. This was clearly staged, do some people actually believe that an edited and posted YouTube video is an accurate reflection of reality?
Because people within the Pokemon community have been tracking the ownership of said case like a hawk and it's really fucking obvious that there was something off about the case to begin with.

I'd have thought the same tbh, sight unseen, just from the source. But he's effectively accusing this BCE of gross negligence which has impacted their reputation.

Either way, hope it is true. Pokemon cards are not worth 3.5 million rials, never mind dollars.

At least his discomfort fuels me. Thanks for the news, this is still a wild ride.
