I've always been curious about how that came about or wasn't corrected by the school, my best guess is that it took him that long to write as long as it was ledgeable they where not all that bothered.

I have some thoughts about his writing style but I'd like to do some more digging before I comment on it, but I suspect it was Bob who taught him to write.

Bob was an engineer before CAD, maybe he had a certain way of holding pencils and a messed up version of his grip was passed on to Chris.

There are number of different ways to hold the pencil / pen in hand drafting depending on your handedness, the instrument, and the edge you're running your line against. Chris uses none of those.

I think this ignorance/innocence distinction gets at the heart of what was so entertaining about Chris to me and likely others. He was not innocent in his mind. He was horny and angry and frustrated and on and on. However, he was so ignorant about the world that he both lacked the capacity to understand his own feelings or do anything to alleviate them. As Chris learned ways - even deviant ones- to cope, he became less entertaining. It’s amazing to watch someone try to use sonic the hedgehog as their primary tool to cope with sexual frustration; it’s far less fun to hear them just say they went to a prostitute.

(Perhaps controversial, but I think the trans arc is the best example. I think it’s apparent that Chris always has gender issues in some form or another. Chris is stubborn. He got the concept of writing, refusing to listen further to guidance, and evolved a freak hand when writing.

I wouldn’t say necessarily Chris was charming but he did seem a lot more ‘clownish’ and less scary and gross (relatively) than the kind of person he is now. Chris should have honestly just continued to draw comics, they were the one genuinely innocent and endearing hobby he had that he had any enjoyment in doing, they kept his mind of doing any other stupid damaging crap and he could escape through them. Now he’s lost in that world entirely

It's textbook narcissism, probably every aspect of it, with a hint of disassociation of the self, well a part of the self. There are a lot of people who seem to actually hate their past or present selves and see it as a separate entity than who they believe they actually are instead of just another chapter in their lives. I think Chris rolling in his liberal LGBTQ circles has brought this mentality onto him where he once "was bad" but now "is good" and combined with his narcissism, it manifested in a dream where he confronted his old self who was both validating his new identity (via pursuing tranny chris sexually) while also drawing a distinction between them (via chasing and acting like pepe le pew) which in Chris' mind he doesn't do anymore (which is correct since he skips chatting up, goes beyond getting fresh and straight for the goods no questions asked).

The TLDR though is yes, only a narcissist would have a dream about themselves wanting to have sex with themselves so much they'd chase them around a store. Possibly as a validation that he passes as a woman by himself being attracted to female him.
