I am no longer clicking on any trash clickbait clipper titles, do any of you know what happened to the wabbit.

could have something to do with an announcement she wasn't allowed to make before her birthday but that it got resolved either way. I'm 99.99% certain becuase that was the only thing the war criminal rabbit was sad about before her birthday live.

Final Fantasy Collection (comes with 4,5 and 6, amerifats iirc got this separated in several packages because Square love to squeeze money)
in the US we got "Final Fantasy Anthology" which was FF5 and FF6, was the first time FF5 was released in the US afaik

And FF Chronicles which was 4 and Chrono Trigger.

there was some cool shit to all of them like some updated art and freshly made cutscenes, notably the Chrono Trigger anime cutscenes were pretty damn neat. But overall fans of the old games disliked the PS relaunches because it just felt worse to go from the game you know on SNES, which had no load times, to PS1 where fucking everything took a few seconds to load, even the game menus. like when I'm pitching Chrono trigger to people looking to get into oldschool JRPGs I still tell them to just emulate the SNES game on their PC because the gameplay experience is just better without load times.

Only PSX remake I personally thing was worthwhile was Crystal Chronicles which had 1 and 2 (first time 2 saw a US Release afaik) because they updated the graphics and music from an 8 bit style to more SNES style.

Did someone say, "Holostars collab"?

aruran-sched.png
Aruran's schedule shows Gartic Phone with Hakos/Ollie/Mumei/Iofi.
And then apparently the JP names below that are Roberu, Shien, and Oga (second-hand info, I can't read them)

First of all, fuck yes, this is a great lineup! Four Holostars, two HoloID, two HoloEN. Including Bae and her oshi Roberu. Should be a riot, and thankfully at a good time for me to watch!
I'm wondering how Mumei's going to fare in a mostly-JP Gartic though lol. Unless she's better at Japanese than I've seen/heard so far. That could just make it more fun though.

Mumei's new song is already streaming in some countries, which means /vt/ has provided an mp3 if you can't stream it yet: https://files.catbox.moe/iqt28v.mp3
Waiting room for the mv is up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py21QCndbxc

If you're curious about the runes around the compass, they read (starting from left side going clock-wise around): "The adventure we call life is never ending so hold yo-(obscured by main title)-art up high and go as far as your spirit can take you." The runes above the main title and Mumei's name are, you guessed it, the main tile and Mumei's name.
I've wondered why Norse runes?
If your character lore is about the guardian of civilization then certainly Sumerian woulda been a better fit, no? Since Mesopotamia is considered to be the first civilization in documented history.

Then again, Sumerian isnt as pretty to look at as runes.

The virgin Kiara "is it okay if I collab with males" vs the chad Baelz/Mumei just going for it.

their idea of heaven was endless manual labour
So Salarymen? perfect for a JP corpo

Just go for the DS one or play the steam version
PC ports are really hit and miss, anyone supporting the steam version of FF6 is dead to me for example.

Not brushed up on my Norse history but Mesopotamians fucking hated their existence so much their idea of heaven was endless manual labour so it's not a good look to be parading yourself as a God on that hill.

I'm not encouraging cancelling Connor but what he said was ignorant and thoughtless. It's okay to criticize him for it. Especially as he's collabing with other V-tubers.

I watched the flam video last night and wasn't going to bother commenting, but wtf why not, just sitting here watching football playoffs and my team didn't even make it in so I'm bored.

Rewatching it, I had forgotten how Conner had actually phrased the controversial take, but it was more than just hololive = instant success. He specifically said you can put whatever on your resume and be a bad streamer and still if you get into hololive = instant success. The implication of this, whether he meant it that way or not, is that he thinks there are some in hololive that are bad streamers and don't deserve to be there or have the success they do. Now I don't think he meant it that way or maliciously, but it can easily be construed in that way and I'm sure it pissed off those who did and are HL enjoyers. And as was said, it makes it twice as worse because he said it directly in a conversation with a vtuber in a corp very analogous to just what he was talking about, and I'm pretty sure he'd go full monke defending Mouse if someone said that about her or her group. In fact, you could probably say that a lot of Mouse's popularity and success comes from her sob story of being a bubble girl and people simping for her because of that. I bet Conner would flip his shit if someone said that, even though it is probably at least partially true. Mouse damage-controlled as best she could by basically telling him to drop it.

Next they played an older clip of him talking about hololive and the HL subreddit. This really irks me because he likens holo fans = idol fans and that somehow they are all schizos who can't handle their oshi talking to a penis-haver or acknowledging the person behind the avatar. This shit is really annoying. I understand that there are people like that out there (mostly contained in /vt/ but still), but 99+% of them don't care about them talking to males and support the talents as real people. Even though the hololive subreddit is a hugbox that likes to keep up the kayfabe, they pretty much all still respect the streamers and don't treat them as "true" idols or have that kind of expectation. Generalizing the whole holo fanbase based on a few outliers is a shit take and rich coming from someone who's livelihood comes from anime fans who are just finally getting out from under the thumb of being generalized as mouth-breather big titty futanari hentai lovers in their mom's basement. (I had similar issue with Joey's video on Nene being in that playboy magazine referenced a page or two back - he generalized all holo fans as the worst kind of idol fans who he thought actually believed Nene was their waifu and somehow didn't get it is all just a big joke.) I suppose him and his audience though think they are sigmas that that doesn't apply to.

Finally, Calli's response. First, she's right that shit like that shouldn't be in a SC, especially an akasupa which is just begging for her to respond to it. She should have just skipped it, but it sounded like she didn't pre-read it and so once she started it was already too late and she had to address it. She obviously has a bias as she is friends with him and the TT crowd now, but even so I'm skeptical of her. She says that he personally apologized to every single member of holoEN and I'm dubious. I just can't see him personally calling every single one of them and apologizing, if HL management would even allow that. So I feel like she is overexaggerating or lying to defend her friend. Obviously no way to prove this either way, but who knows. In the end though she is right, if people have a problem with it they can bring it up with him. It shouldn't involve Calli and it definitely shouldn't be something you SC at her about. The SCer deserved what they got.

So there's my wall of text. I expect most to skip over it, hell that's usually what I do...

NOOO YOU CANT SAY THAT ABOUT A SICK GIRL
THEY ARE BEYOND REPPROACH NOOOOOOOOO

(not that I have anything against mousey)

In fact, you could probably say that a lot of Mouse's popularity and success comes from her sob story of being a bubble girl and people simping for her because of that.
Even though I don't watch Mouse nearly as often as others, I hold her up as the example of what vTubers are capable of doing. Here's a person who, let's be honest, would be depressing to watch her stream as a normal person. Stuck in one room, surrounded by medical equipment, not looking great. But add in the avatar, and suddenly she's a streaming monolith. Easily one of the biggest vTubers on Twitch. Easily in the top earning streamers of Twitch. All earned through her blood, sweat, tears, and hard work. I know I simp for her because of her fucking drive.

Propably everyone will use English, with the boys using basic English.
This is absolutely not going to be the case. I'm sure the girls will translate for Mumei when needed, but other than that, this is going to be almost completely in japanese, because that's how these things always go - the vast majority of people in the collab can speak japanese, so that's the language that's going to be spoken for 90% of the stream. I'm sure at some point one of the boys will probably say a single sentence in english or something, but even then, that's likely to be just as a quick joke or a simple greeting rather than an actual serious attempt at an english conversation.
