Why does it seem like the FtM's that get "top" surgery have surgeons that have absolutely no idea where male nipples are supposed to go? Do the people doing these mastectomies not have a plastic surgeon come in and do the final aesthetics and closing?

I have seen similar horror shows with actual women who have had mastectomies related to cancer when it is done by a general surgeon. Some of them the nipples aren't even horizontally aligned. It's scary. Who in their right mind wouldn't have a plastic surgeon do the final aesthetics and closing? You will not only have the best aesthetic outcome, but plastic surgeons are the only surgeons that know the correct tricks in order to minimize/hide scaring. Some plastic surgeons are so good at it, I was amazed to learn the patient has even had a major reconstruction. Without an actual inspection up close, you wouldn't even know they ever had anything done. Some of the talent in plastic surgery is mind blowing. (and some of them would be better off doing horror sfx in Hollywood).

Short answer: no, no one gives a shit. "Transgender affirming care" is currently booming and it's a guaranteed money maker for unscrupulous surgeons in the US due to laws that make insurance and/or medicaid cover it in some states. Plus, there are no established standards of care, so it's almost impossible to successfully sue a surgeon.

The people performing the surgeries are butchers that treat it like an assembly line. Like everything else related to transgenderism, it's mostly based on a few people making as much money as they can in a short time.

"Don't lift you arms for four months" is definitely the type of post-surgery instruction that you can expect a teenage girl to follow, isn't it?

Teenagers cannot be trusted to get out of bed themselves or clean their room when there's rotting food in it, so I'm glad that surgeons are entrusting them with wound care that is going to affect them for the rest of their lives.
