Yup. American libs often act like everyone south of them is just various shades of brown, but South Americans have various mixes of European and indigenous, with Brazil also having a little more African in their mix. There are a dozen different old-timey words for the various combinations. But it is totally possible to have a kid that has a noticeably darker, lighter, or browner complexion than the rest of the family. Humans don’t really mix like paint, so especially with mixed race families, you can play with the skin tone a lot. Something the ANIMATORS AT DISNEY who FUCKING WENT TO THE COUNTRY might be privy to.
