one day last fall when i was doordashing in my parents' car i yolo'd it and drove all the way up to manchester nh just to see what it was like. something like 1 in 20 people were wearing masks indoors there, and i made sure to go into actual stores and not just restaurants
I hear the Asian restaurants make Dashers wear a mask.

I find major city news reporting really interesting. NY media is currently touting the lower infection numbers. I'm wondering how long it's going to take the spin to happen where they're saying, "Even though the numbers are low, wearing masks is a good thing, here why."
I guess they're proud to look like a brick in the wall who looks like just another brick in the wall of Pink Floyd.

phoenix is full of maskfags? that's the first time i've heard that. i even remember seeing clips of the baked alaska stream last spring where chaggot talks about fucking a 13 year old in downtown phoenix and noticing the distinct lack of masks
In Tempe there's some people wearing masks but I don't really spend a lot of time near the university. I went to one spot in DT Phoenix and they were wearing masks, but it was some bougie speakeasy. Everywhere else? Not so much.

Part of me worries/hopes that a portion of this generation of children will grow up to be psychotic. If these children went insane, figured out the virus was massively overblown resulting in their mental/social retardation, and killed their families, that would be justice. I don't want it to happen, but the parents that force this shit on their children are worse scum than the politicians telling them to do so. The parents have a choice, and they are simply following orders like unthinking drones with no regard for their children.
if i was born in the same place in 2009 instead of 1999 i would've either been one of them or thrilled because i got to stay home and play vidya and fuck around on the internet all day instead of spending 7 hours a day doing nothing but learning stuff i already knew and doing boring as fuck activities. would've been PISSED about having to wear a fucking surgical mask all day in 6th grade (the current school year) though, i gritted my teeth when i just had to wear the same shirt as everyone else

As someone with experience losing multiple animals to side effects of regular vaccinations that weren't a necessity, this is a nightmare. Maybe people having their dogs have heart attacks will convince them out of this. Maybe. The pet industry already really doesn't give a shit about anything other than profits, that's at least 80% of the industry. Dog food is practically unregulated. Reptiles get it way worse. I don't even want to think about how poorly meds are actually vetted on top of that. It certainly seems like they are. Doesn't help that there are already zoosadists that have been doxed and exposed as being veterinarians and nothing is really done about them.

i went into multiple asian restaurants, a few of them several times, as a dasher here in the boston suburbs last fall where there is/was an actual mask mandate and none of them ever told me to wear a mask. i'm guessing it's just a few of the asian restaurants in phoenix, not all of them

edit: hell, now that i think of it, the few places that told me to put a mask on were all mexican

Well, it happened. I have now bit the bullet and caught the vid. So far I have only experienced a stuffed nose, which is surprising as I have been up and moving today and yesterday. It seems I caught a mild case, which is nice.

I am a little miffed about getting it as it does cut into my work and money collection for the week, but at the same time, I guess it will be nice to beat it out of my system early this year and not need a booster. Pretty shitty way to start a school semester though.
