Doesn't Germany have some extremely moronic green party running it right now? Didn't they close down a bunch of nuclear power plants because "muh environment" and are facing an energy crisis because of it? They strike me like the kind of retards who'd plunge Germany into chaos because of this shit. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love nothing more than to be wrong on this prediction of mine, I want every country going back to normal. And I mean normal normal, not the New Normal™ where they still keep some of the garbage like periodic lockdowns and goy passes.Big disagree on Germany et al doubling down. When the UK is back open for business with no restrictions, no jab requirements and everything back to normal, the Germans (and EU) cannot say "we're having more restrictions", as it would funnel a big chunk of business to the UK. Bonus points if the UK can send goods to the EU through some back-door legislation. It would potentially mean that the UK could make a product and sell it to the EU, easier than the EU could make the product.
Chuck on top of that the UK workers will be back at work, in full force, with more-or-less full staffing, while kraut factories are shut or severely restricted with workers...
Once the UK opens up, the EU, and the world, have to follow or face some pretty dire times financially.
This reminds me of the two COVID "overflow" facilities created in my region when it was believed the demand for treatment would outstrip the supply of hospital beds. I believe both facilities were retrofitted to house up to 1000 patients each. Long story short, the excess capacity was barely needed; one facility's peak use was approximately 200 beds and the other went unused and decommissioned after a few months when those in charge decided it wasn't worth paying market share rent for an unused COVID facility. So today our hospital system officially went into a code brown. Leave is cancelled for staff, people are being called in on their day off, it's all hands on deck. This is because of the overwhelming number of Covid cases. The missus, who works on a Covid ward, disagrees, she says her unit is half empty and they're talking about closing it next week, but what would she know?
i'm shocked the narrative is letting the news that the fourth shot isn't "good enough" for omicron through.
Israel is currently finding that the fourth dose of the vaccine isn't doing so well against Omicron. This is isn't surprising to anyone who has been paying attention, since the variant used for the booster and Omicron vary widely.
This wouldn't surprise me despite my own thoughts that they should update the base vaccinations to handle as many of the current variants as possible (if that were feasible). They're setting up for the variant specific vaccinations, this is seeding the ground for the announcement.
This doesn't surprise me either. While this initially reminded me of the Puerto Rico hurricane relief goods that ended up rotting unused, it also reminded me of the summer of 2020. With COVID still still causing a lot of panic along with the scarcity N95 masks, someone who is a health care professional gave me a spare N95 mask he had. When I mentioned that I didn't want to deprive him or his medical colleagues of what they needed, his reply was along the lines of, "Dude, we have more than we need of these things." Still, it's absolutely awful that people still claim they lack the needed supplies while other stockpiles of the equipment rot unused someplace else. Not surprised at all, not one bit. Incompetent fucks.
In my area, someone who does outreach for the homeless found out the hard way that homeless in their area want money to score drugs from the local drug house after she got someone a sandwich only to see it get thrown to the ground in disgust with a demand for cash instead. It can also be pointless. Ask anyone who works in a Maccies in a shitty part of town - well meaning fuckwits give the homeless (usually junkies) food, who then bring the food back in and try to get cash refunds for money to score with.
You're right, that's a good point, well presented. Maybe Germany will just go mental and tank the EU. Afterall, the UK has agreed to build (5?) new nuclear powerplants and some are being built by/with France.Doesn't Germany have some extremely moronic green party running it right now? germany collapsing in on itself for going all-in on and mandating whatever they think aligns with the "right side of history" would be hilarious and is like a century overdueDoesn't Germany have some extremely moronic green party running it right now? I went to her account to try to figure out if this was satire and I honestly could not tell.![]()
Now, if only Flipland would ramp down as well.
I get the impression that Germoney's plan is to shut down their naughty energy sources and cover the gaping deficiency left by shitty green energy by purchasing energy from other countries, produced by naughty means of course. That doesn't count as their own emissions though. You're right, that's a good point, well presented. Maybe Germany will just go mental and tank the EU. How long until Austria falls I wonder? Or will Germanic peoples just double down
That would make a lot of sense. It's the same play that companies are doing right now. They want to reduce their carbon emissions, so they set everyone to work at home. The company uses less gas, electricity and water, because all of their workers are now working at home, increasing the employees carbon footprint, while reducing their own. Now, if only Flipland would ramp down as well.

Given how colossally dumb the world has acted for nearly 2 years at this point, they might do just that - "see, I have no emissions. Sure yours are bigger because I buy dirty energy from you, but that's yours, not mine."
it's fake retardI keep thinking about this. Has it been verified that this is real?
If this actually happened, I can't even begin to comprehend this line of thinking.
I wonder how much of this is because Boris Johnson's garden party fucked up the optics so much that the UK is pulling their plans leading to a dominion effect for other nations? First the small ones, then the large ones who will make up some BS excuse to save face.

the hitler youthI presume when a black is killed by an other black, they count them as Covid death?
Now let's see if Canada and Australia will follow Boris Johnson's example about the masks and speaking of Canada, I saw this clip very disturbing.
Like we've been saying from the start- this all ends when people decide it ends.I think they will cancel the mandatory nhs thing about a week before deadline. No way will they fuck off 70,000 staff because that will only leave about 5 people working in each hospital. If they stand their ground i will clap for them on thursday nights.
It is quite bonkers that this whole shitshow can be wound up so quickly and all it took was some hedonists to party too hard, cocaine in 10 of 12 parliament toilets, a chinese spy and some docs and nurses saying, "nope". No science involved in any of it.
Yep, I'm a retard for not looking closer. Lesson learned.
Yeah, more easier to punch the unvaccinated instead of the government bureaucrats incompetence as well as the vaccine manufacturers and their botched vaxs done in an hurry.the hitler youth
Work from home is most certainly a net positive for energy consumption. It’s absolutely ridiculous if companies get credit for having people work remotely. That would make a lot of sense. Expect a lot of other countries to follow suit. The mandates were never coming in, as it was a logistical nightmare. If it takes 3 months between taking your first jab and SAFELY taking your second and booster, how can you mandate that?
They need all the space they can get: they got to record all those TikTok videos somehow, don't they? This reminds me of the two COVID "overflow" facilities created in my region when ti was believed the demand for treatment would outstrip the supply of hospital beds.
