Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

And beyond all that the best hope for people on the left and right are two people over 75 years old. Which is the sort of shitty plot contrivance people would bitch about if it was an anime or tv show. Its a literal race aganist time for the entire planet on almost every issue now.

Idk if you guys saw this or not yet since it probably got lost amidst the rambling of the geriatric, but apparently Big Dick Man Chin just shut Bidens shit down again and included some good old West Virginia Man smooth talking logic. Loved to see it.

Anyway, after this enormous clusterfuck ANYONE that is up for re-election this coming midterm will be sweating bullets right now.
I expect tempers and emotions internally in the democratic party to be dialed up to and beyond 11 for the rest of this year and expect many glorious meltdowns and public fights to enjoy going forward. A lot of these people even in "safe" seats will have to fight for their political survival.

This is a bit tin-foil-ish (hell, I should stop prefacing with that, because my tin-foil thunks are more realistic than whatever MSM analysists or "experts" claim), but I wonder if setting up Biden to fail hard is a sort of long-game for the left? I can already see media and pundits saying "Old cis hetero white men are destroying the country, Doesn't matter what side of the aisle they are on, it's current year and white men should never be let in power again". Don't get me wrong, I find Biden a disgrace who likely cheated his way into office (see my post history), but I'm worried getting him 25th'd might be a giant woke monkey's paw. Maybe this will be a cope/consolation prize by the left and I'm over-thinking it, but it seems too easy for the woke to pivot that direction.

If this worse-case scenario comes true, we just need to hope for a based Hispanic man...

Isn't there a study or something that shows that on average a nation lasts around 200 to 400 years before massively shrinking in size and power or outright collapsing and ceasing to exist?

I'm thinking about Biden saying that he's going to travel around the country fundraising and supporting candidates for the midterms. Who the fuck is going to want to associate with him at this rate? The way things are going, California will be the only state where he finds Representatives wanting to tie themselves to him.
