The problem is that even the "good" trans people contribute to some really awful trends.
I'd be more sympathetic to the concept of "good" trans people if I believed they existed in significant amounts, but they really don't.
Like, so, to start off, I don't expect a "good" trans person to sacrifice themselves a la Buck Angel or Blaire White. Going public criticizing the trans nonsense is extremely dangerous for basically anyone and I don't judge people for not doing that.
However, I do expect "good" trans people to be generally knowledgeable about the issues. I expect them to understand transwomen aren't actually women. I expect them to understand the importance of sex segregated spaces. I expect them to be educated on the fact that the evidence for medical transitioning as a treatment for gender dysphoria is inconclusive, at best (and frankly, the evidence is leaning closer to it being this generation's lobotomy). I expect for them to refrain from comparing themselves to people with legitimate medical conditions, like DSDs. ... I can keep going on and on with this.
Polite trans people who aren't pushy do exist. But they still believe in stupid shit, vote for stupid shit, and let people do stupid shit in their name.
Like, I've talked to "good" trans people, felt satisfied they weren't (immediately) shitheads, but then sat through some company diversity meeting or talked to them about some issue and the tranny nonsense inevitably crops up again. Don't get me wrong, it's never anything particularly extreme, but still small, harmful little things. Like "well idk he identifies as a woman, let him into the women's bathroom" or "I totally support intersex people, the trans community is awful to them. BTW I've always been kinda girly, maybe I'm not really trans... Maybe I'm intersex??"
These things are to trannies as what "acktually that is technically ephebophilia

" is to neckbeards.
"Good" trans people, unless they've been completely and utterly peaked, always slide back into shittiness.
Try it yourself. Don't just take my word for it, talk to some of your good trans friends. Do they think they're actually women? Do they think they should have access to women's spaces? Do they think trans people are murdered more often than normal people?
I genuinely think less than 1% of trannies would answer no to all three of these questions. Not just 1% of lolcow troons, I mean all trannies.
That's the flaw with the "good" tranny theory.
Now, all that aside, I'm totally sympathetic to people with gender dysphoria. I would hope they could get help. Legitimate help though, which the medical system currently doesn't offer. (and there's attempts to outlaw therapy addressing GD under the umbrella of "conversion therapy")
