Part of it has to do with the thread merging etc I think and permissions. But I do feel like for mega threads it would be sensible to have community volunteer thread mods anyway, maybe just give them permissions to delete posts or forward shit higher up the same way jannies on 4chan do. That way the full time staff only deals with the shit that really needs addressing and the average spam and faggotry gets deleted by people who already have an interest in keeping it tidy.So... Null needs to hire new jannies? That sounds like the real problem here, not "slowness" or anything to do with managing articles.
From my understanding it's just where it was such a huge thread and moved quickly so if someone did report something etc it was harder and harder to pinpoint that post and make a moderation decisionWhat is there to manage? Its like 5 main posters with an additional handful of semi-posters just saying fuck biden.

I would think a reported post would have a link to said post in said report. But what do I know, I don't have an HRT prescription or discord. From my understanding it's just where it was such a huge thread and moved quickly so if someone did report something etc it was harder and harder to pinpoint that post and make a moderation decision
Snitches get stitches in A&H apperantly. That's a crock of shit, I talk to @L50LasPak all the time and he's said A&N rarely gets reported actually.
I choose to believe it was aliens.nigs gonna nig, jannies gonna sweep. It don't have to make sense.
Then the adequate solution would be to make a replacement thread and put it somewhere - whether it be in A&N, Deep Thoughts, Happenings or anywhere else. A new thread would not have a different amount of moderation workload because all the same people from before would be posting in it, and the only real moderation work required would be to sweep up the occasional bait-poster who waltz in. @Randall Fragg swept up like 5 pages of off-topic bait the other day so this is clearly not asking too much of them. From my understanding it's just where it was such a huge thread and moved quickly so if someone did report something etc it was harder and harder to pinpoint that post and make a moderation decision
Don't you know that threads that gain 3-10 pages of discussion per day are slow moving? We also just got new jannies. And it sure wasn't CatParty, our newish mod, who shut it down.
I'm still confused why the hell an admin who hasn't posted anything in months decides the first thing they'll do is shut down a popular and regularly used thread.
