You know, there's just something deeply unsettling about watching her talk. All the botox, hair dye (or maybe that's just a wig), surgery, and makeup combine to produce a really ghastly effect. Things are really fucked on a macro level when people this old are still in positions of enormous power and require cosmetic teams to present themselves to the public.

It's called a Gerontocracy. Any parallels to the Soviet Union and its decline are entirely intentional.

I don’t follow politics all that much, if at all. But I have to laugh after listening to the project veritas guy talk about his house getting raided because a notebook.
Like, what better way to draw attention to creepy grandfather time?

Its pretty funny and depressing at the same time.

Berlusconi was the first proposed candidate but it soon became apparent that he was thrown to the sharks so that meloni and salvini may ram through their ideal candidate.
(also berlusconi's mental state is wuickly deteriorating.)

One of the possibile names is Casini, who is basically a more incompetent Dan creenshaw but without the patch and thr military service.

Right now they are just wasting three days so that special rules may go in effect and lower the number of votes needed to win.
Also they spent a fuckton of money on special booths for people with covid (which were not many to begin with).
We are a silly country.

Chernenko only just barely made it a year in office before dying so we're still better off than the Soviets, even if only slightly. Once mid-Feburary passes he can start looking to compete with Andropov.

Hasn't she had more than a few brain farts relating to who is in the Oval Office? I recall her mentioning a President Bush while Trump was in office.

Sounds like the establishment are really really scared that the progressives will take over during the midterms so someone has been twisting arms, blackmailing or threatening Pelosi to stay on.
They really think she still has the capital needed to keep congress united and steer off the progressive wave in the party? Good luck.
But I guess they have little other choice.

EDIT: she will be minority leader and she will have lost close to 30 senior and experienced allies in congress since they have retired. She will not be able to control anything. When the progressives say: "fuck you, we did all you asked us but you never gave us what we wanted. It was all just a big lie. From now on it will be 'our way or the highway'. Also fuck you", what are you gonna do then Pelosi?

How are all these old fuckers just gobbling down ice cream all the time? I'm not even 40 and my asshole can't take it anymore.

Trump, Nancy and her fridge, Biden... Is it just some PR meme and the ice cream goes into the trash on the way out? "Female voters like to look at cute stuff and sweets, get a puppy, keep getting photographed with ice cream!"
