Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

In the meantime, enjoy this video of her walking....see previous post and note she can happily get on and off the floor but walks like this...

Nothing says classy like wobbling around the parking lot, holding your cigarette with your teeth because your hands are full of a bag of your own piss! Fuck I love this munch already

Of course she has a Go Fund Me.

She's a rare UK munchie.

My personal cow. Is escalating, please look at these pics and if interested I'll timeline her . These are just a minuscule snapshot..
Three things here that immediately stand out.
1. Arching her back like crazy to seem bloated
2. Obligatory sweet and unhealthy "safe food."
3. Posts pictures of her vomit on social media, as if that is a normal and sane thing to do.

10/10

Shouldn't the big rigid strappy brace at least always be on the same side? is her phone mirrored?
Edit: I'm an idiot like usual. it's just mirrored. Tatoo looks the same.

Googling functional gait disorder tho seems like it's psychogenic?

I guess she's in a care home for psychiatric disorders? Scrolling more it seems so.

As requested, a sampling.
Don't want to reveal my powerlevel so I can't reveal some of the ones that aggravated me the most.
A few days late but that third screenshot is one of the funniest things I have ever read. Asking for accommodations then spitefully complaining in the same email is just going to set you off on the wrong foot. Never mind complaining to a professor who likely can't do anything about the accommodations procedure. It's astounding entitlement and I suspect this one has written complaints about disabled people having to produce proof because they do not have any of their own. The blogging about never accepting their debilitating neurological disorder and thinking anyone cares about them when they go on to insult them later.

I'll respect your choice to hide users and won't link to the discussion on reddit but there was of course an outpouring of support and many many upvotes. Someone saying "this is well written". Top comment talking about losing control of their bowels. OP admitting they have a letter from a neurologist saying they have that condition and yet still writing and sending all that. Everyone seems to be concerned that the actual diagnosis is private information and the profs don't need to know that. Beautiful stuff.

I noticed a lot of people in this thread equate C-PTSD with BPD and while there is a significant amount of overlap due to complex trauma being the typical root cause of both, they aren’t the same thing. C-PTSD is a distinct disorder that can cause psychosomatic symptoms, personality distortions, and a number of intense psychological problems. It can be treated with a three phase treatment focusing on teaching self-regulation, resolving traumatic memories, and establishing connections/meaning with the outside world. It was meant to offer an approach that was distinct to child/domestic abuse survivors from PTSD because their symptoms and needs are different due to the long-term/developmental nature of their trauma. In fact, many CPTSD sufferers unfortunately had caregivers with borderline disorders.

I encourage anyone interested to read Dr. Bessel van Der Kolk’s “The Body Keeps the Score” for an in-depth dive on how trauma affects the brain and body in tandem. It can be profoundly helpful in understanding how our bodies and brains interact and how humans can heal following trauma. Of course, none of these munchies really WANT to get better, or they’d realize that C-PTSD is a red letter diagnosis that signals to anyone you’ve been abused and traumatized as a child— which most people wouldn’t enjoy showing off to the world. It makes me sad to see them co-opting a diagnosis that is meant to empower and explain the unique experiences of child and domestic abuse survivors.

Yeah, this is a pretty good book. Gabor Mate's book along the same lines is also pretty good but I can't remember the name of it off-hand.

There really is, unfortunately, a gigantic stigma about somatoform disorders among both patients and doctors. Then you have people faking illnesses as part of their desire to play the role of a sick person and everything goes to shit because now you don't know what's real vs what's not real but still pretty debilitating vs who just wants attention.

I think people confuse the two because people with BPD tend to tell you they have anything besides BPD. I can't really fault them - it's a label that can lead to instant rejection/abandonment in people that deeply fear those things. They also probably were legitimately told they had bipolar, schizoaffective, c-ptsd, etc. at some point. I'm not sure how good of a job therapists/psychiatrists do at explaining diagnosis evolve over time and the old ones were discarded because it wasn't the best description.

Is this bitch ever going to actually die?
Though it's really only a spoken and adhered-to Kiwi rule on the Ashlich board, the more you question when a cow is gonna die, the longer they will live. In Ashlich's case, there's a multiplier during spooky month. Not sure if Paige has a multiplier, but I feel the rule may apply to her, as well.

She is never not actively dying.

Edit: Just went over and watched a few recent tiktoks. Looks like this sepsis/satellite infection colony combo might the last hurrah. Not worth screen recording, as it's all grimaces with text and music and the same lipsynced song tracks. But alas, Paige may be headed for the status of Dead Stardust. I still stand behind the theory that questions about when will prolong lifespans.

This may have been the original intention of cPTSD as a diagnosis, but it's been so overrun by histrionic women that the term is now a proxy for BPD for people who would be upset by receiving a BPD diagnosis.

If someone is dying, can they post on TikTok? Asking for a sad walrus.

CNN is now helping proselytize the munchie standards - cnn article of whining munch
Jo.di Etten.burg is a young white former lawyer who took to travel blogging until something caused her to get a spinal tap. Afterwards, she got a headache and after a year of whining and laying flat she got into duke and took a whole slew of blood patches to cure (bonus allergic rxn to the fibrin in the patch). After feeling better for a while, she sat down and her back hurt and now she's back to her forever suffering. She experiences "brain sag", talks about eds, and her parents having to care for her. She 100% belongs here and is using CNN travel section to share her munchie story with the world. She's' also a gluten-free person. her blog is Legal Nomad blog insta is insta shit

damn, her GFM raised over 40K. She's got some solid grift happening. Gofuckme for $

Also, sad walrus is the only and best walrus. I wish we still had access to her mother's posting--it really gave a lot of insight into the damage this kind of shit does to a family.

eta insta link, and then to add gfm link....I'll stop now I promise

“Immediately following the procedure, I could barely walk.”

So she got up immediately post lumbar puncture and walked around? Sounds like she almost wanted a blood patch.

I wonder why it took her so long to get the blood patch, they’re not rare or long procedures unless things differ over there. They can be repeatedly done without whatever she’s “reacting” to using nothing but her own blood so that together with the oh so convenient uptime she gets smells like munch alright. I don’t think I need to even comment on the MCAS and EDS, lol. Jesus fucking christ at that gofuckme amount though, I’m probably just a tard when it comes to navigating the website but I wonder what it was supposed to be for?

They're all public and her TT handle is visible. Feel free to screen record on your phone and upload here for archiving if you feel it is important for the documentation of Paige's hijinks. Go forth and scroll/screen record.

Obligatory: Just don't engage and tip the cow. We're not about that life, as we are not Reddit.

Sounds a lot like like Jesse/disablednotdefeated - she has been claiming a spinal fluid leak that has been ongoing for the last year now, and she has had numerous blood patches that she claims all failed after ‘fighting’ her doctors and insurance for them.

They are archived in the thread. Running a search for "Paige," "Mom," and "Forum" will likely return what you're looking for. I think @Kate Farms Shill uploaded them, but don't quote me on that. The screenshots have been dredged up several times and were archived here for the reason you cite. Search and you shall receive.

The videos are just her looking at the camera while a generic sad-ish song plays. Really nothing special, so I just took screenshots. Username is dying_stardust if you really really want to see the videos yourself.

Bonus funny comment from transparentmunchie!
There were some others saying that it's okay and she can rest now, but mostly was "oh I'm so worried, you're such a strong warrior fighter, I will pray for you"
