You can gain a much better understanding of his politics through Lightbringer. He pretty much agrees with Frank Miller and Steve Ditko on everything but religion, while simultaneously being an ineptly closeted homosexual.*

I think that's more to do with the fact he's rather self-loathing in that regard. You know the type, sees something in another person that he doesn't like in himself and as such gets angry with them.

Pretty much that's exactly what it seems like. This is pure speculation on my part, but it seems he kind of forced her to be in he videos, and she was such an obvious trans people started saying it, and the more he denied it the worse it got. I bet if he just said 'yeah, so what' the flak wouldn't have been so bad. But he kept denying the obvious while forcing her to be in and make videos just making the situation worse for her solely to cover up his closeted fetishes. Such an asshole thing to do to anybody.

This makes his current choice of GF even stranger assuming they're still together. As far as I can tell the new one is 100% woman. Actually considering her size she's closer to 150% but that's just due to her weight.

Honestly, even relatively early on I wasn't that big of a fan of Lewis. I think it was because unlike a movie aka Doug, Phelan, or Brad's schtick, comics are a very quick and dense medium. Lewis' summary/reviews just took a very quick medium and slowed down the pace to a painful level; it got grating to see him go through every page like a nitpicking sperglord.
It's not helped by the fact that unlike the others I listed, Lewis lacks basic charisma, which means he really kind of lacks that charm or sarcasm the other three people I referenced had, which to me was most evident when he had Iron Liz front for him a few times; he was still the writer, but her being on stage had the fanbase chimp out and call it all terrible, hilariously missing the fact that their reviewer of choice was the writer still.
The last nail in the coffin was when he really started to introduce storylines into his review; I came for the comic, not cosplay.

Back in the day when I was like 15 I was an avid watcher of Linkara, I don't remember exactly when he started doing the plot thing, but they used to be everyonce and a while at the very end just like catching Pyramid Head in a pokeball or whatever and it wasn't intrusive and horribly cringey, I jumped ship after the Lord Vyce thing started happening and I realized "this is fucking stupid"
Honestly he used to make fun of weird plots like that during two parters where he had a fake "previously on" segment where people started saying ridiculous shit as a parody.
My guess as to why he started to do the plot thing is he wanted to write spergy stories and figured "people are already watching this show so I'll stick it in here and no one will notice" at first they were short little segments but then he started dragging them on and on until the entire "review" was basically his own comic book in live action form

He started pretty early on from what I remember, like within ten episodes he was already doing the Mechakara plot. It's why I tend to blame him or Rolfe depending on my mood for other reviewers doing the same stupid shit.
