Trying to get to know the “real” Sam Hyde is a fucking retarded idea for a video, and he should have known Sam would just be fucking with him the whole time. In the beginning, when Sam introduced him to the crew, it seemed like he was aware (or at least suspicious) that it was all a joke. But Sam broke his little cuck brain, and he started thinking it was serious.

But this doesn’t really seem like an attempted “hit piece”, just a very cringey attempt at making a serious, documentary-style video. I don’t think I buy the narrative that this was some nefarious plot to get revenge over a copyright claim made on one video several years ago. Or that he’s using Sam as a way to portray himself as a holier-than-thou, changed man who is above edgy humor. AFIK, he’s never renounced or apologized for any of his older, edgier content. His content just changed because the platform did. He makes shitty, boring, unfunny, inoffensive videos because that’s what’s profitable now.

Anyway, fuck idubbz. I just think some people are (ironically) taking this a little too seriously.
How many times did ICUCKZ call Richard Samuel Hyde ALT-RIGHT? He's a sniveling little shit that tried to ride on the coattails of Filthy Frank (Joji).

Some stand-out moments to me:
  • Sam's crew actually committed to their ironic characters a little more than it seemed in Sam's release which makes this whole thing a lot funnier.
  • iDubbbz actually took the bait and fell for it (Especially Dani).
  • During the "Team Meeting" Sam emphasizes that he "hates cucks" while Ian is sitting right beside him. That's a clear jab at Ian.
  • Ian is actually a huge pussy who is afraid of loud motors, fast cars and physical contact.
  • Ian doesn't know how to throw a punch - like at all. Anisa can kick his ass.
  • Ian gives a quick a backstory about MDE: World Peace about halfway through the documentary and admits that he liked the show and acknowledges that Heidecker, Gellman and Bernstein were basically responsible for the show getting cancelled. This is validating for Sam who is often gaslighted as responsible for the show getting cancelled.
  • The documentary kind of works as promotional highlight reel for MDE rather than making Sam look Le Bad.
  • Rare interview with Nick Rochefort.
  • iDubbz simps for Dani (fake girlfriend) throughout the documentary which is really funny.
  • It's revealed like 3/4's of the way through that, yes, this whole thing was indeed meant to be a hitpiece about Sam's association with le Alt Right, white supremacy and Nazis but he doesn't really get any racist material at all.
  • iDubbbz cringely explaining "ironic humor" to his midwit audience like a VSauce video. He does this to try and explain that, under multiple layers of irony, Sam is an unironic white supremacist.
  • In the interview, iDubbbz chooses to overexpose himself with light while keeping Sam veiled in darkness. It seems to be some on-the-nose attempt at cinematography (Sam = bad, Ian = good) but it's actually just jarring to watch.
  • Ian splices in an edit in the middle of the interview to explain that "It's not a hitpiece" (it kind of is though).
  • In the video, Ian says that he's definitely not mad about Sam copyright striking him all those years ago. He edits in another interstitial to reiterate that same point so that the audience really knows that he's definitely not still mad about that interaction.
  • Sam reveals in the interview that Dani, the office, and the Polaris Slingshot was all a ruse and iDubbbz totally fell for it.
  • I actually fell for the fake office too as you can see in my previous posts.
  • After it's revealed that it was all a ruse, Ian actually lightens up and seems to have a good time with the Hyde Wars crew as they shoot guns and the shit.
  • At the end, he's still upset about Dani because he was simpin' super hard for her.
A decent YouTube documentary but Ian clearly gave up on the it because he wasn't getting the racist material he was looking for which was his intended narrative.
Really makes you wonder if they got some secret polyamory going on with all the cuck memes and rumors.

In Sam's cut of the documentary he claims the phone camera died at the very end of the 1 on 1 interview. Now with Ian Jomha's version we see that the formerly lost moment contained the best part of Ian realizing that Sam had been fucking with him the entire time.

Show's that Sam is indeed a nice guy because I'm certain he just wanted Ian to publish the best scene in full glory.

This is the way of the modern celebrity. Renounce the stuff that made you popular/successful because you already are and then making it nearly impossible for anybody new to make it in the way that you did.

It's like a country that gained the ability to become THE world power by going through a very environmentally damaging industrial revolution then regulating other counties to not be able to do that because it harms the environment.
Once you've climbed the ladder, kick it down.

Weirdly enough, having the lighting for Sam be so minimal does wonders for his face, with that half-shaved beard and all. Ian on the other hand looks like an albino lab-rat trapped underneath a desklamp.
He (or whoever was actually holding the camera) could've thought of that before they were rolling, but oh well.

I'm dead serious. The man was buddies with Weev for God's sake and he openly considers black people subhuman. If you seriously think he's not a wignat you either haven't seen enough of his content or you haven't been around long enough.
Sam seems to given up on politics for the most part in his modern phase, but yeah it is pretty obvious he is a wignat in his earlier work

Admittedly I don't watch much Idubbbz nowadays so this could be a post-ironic wannabe film school technique I'm too pedestrian to understand, but the way he framed and lit the interview just boggles the mind. Look how much clearer it'd look if he at least stuck to the basic-bitch 180-degree rule that any self-respecting super serious youtube filmmaker should know.
