January 6th ultimately didn't really do much though. January 6th was important, but this is the real victory. Jan 6th proved the people were mad enough to do something. This is them doing it effectively.

You seem to forget one thing tractor's aka big right trucks weigh much more then your average box truck. They also need a specialized tow truck. Also you seem to forget the size, scale, and bloody scope of this. Even if this was let's say In Portland. You're talking about hundreds of tractors and trailers, thousands of not tens of thousands of people ready to camp with fuel, equipment and supplies.

So in other words you haven't paid attention to what's going on. But if you want a TL;DR here it is.

They want an end to all the vaccine/COVID mandates. As current policy would require them to quarantine for ten days and as a trucker time is money.

Here’s my prediction. Thursday will continue with stalemate, though I expect to see more conservative politicians come out in favor of the truckers/ending mandates. By Friday we should expect to start seeing military resources and more aggressive counter-measures. They are going to try to clean this up over the weekend. This will likely fail and there’ll be at least another couple days of stalemate next week before the government makes its next move.

Long-term we could see appeals to US or even HM government if they are not going to let the truckers win. I don’t think we’ll see civil war until some other country weighs in.

I would say around this next weekend expect to see protests in solidarity especially if the standoff in both ottowa and coutts continues. If Trudeau brings out military it will heat up unfortunately. I expect someone in the Canadian chain of command to lose control and perhaps live fire. Hoping the cameras don't smuggle out the evidence. But there is a good chance it backfires and we'll because of a trucker strike gone wrong a civil war har erupted in both Canada and the US.

Honestly I think some of the Kiwis here should actually look up by playbook how the Euromaidan protest's occured. Because one can see how protests can outlast the government in the dead of winter. Granted kiev is not the same as ottowa but it's a good base model of what a protest in a western style democracy that brings on real regime change does. If left unchecked it can spiral into civil conflict.
