This was my thought as well. It was actually a fun watch, but not flattering to Ian at all, as he kept having to intervene with these windbag explanations of basic concepts like irony and nitpick Sam about why he wouldn't just show him all the details of how he did things on a day to day basis.

It would be one thing if Idubbbz was some random YouTube kid trying to make a documentary, but he's supposed to be a funny guy himself, and he came off as not able to join in the comedy and have any fun. It did seem that when Sam tried to be straight with Idubbbz, that Idubbbz immediately clammed up and started being evasive, e.g., when Sam asked him if he was upset about the copystrike thing and seemed genuinely apologetic. Ian won't give him a straight answer and cuts the video and talks about how frustrating it was to interact with Sam and how he absolutely was never upset about the copystrike.

I was losing it during the talking head interviews with the crew and the pitch meeting. So funny. And you can even see Dani break a couple of times, like when Sam talks about faking having cancer. Hilarious that this all goes over idubbbz head.

The funny thing is Ian made such a big deal about being concerned for her, but she takes like one pill on camera, but if you watch Sam's version, the rapper guy is mixing a bottle of cough syrup in with Sprite and crazy stuff like that, seemed completely out of his mind, but Ian didn't seem particularly concerned for him.
