I've found Canadians and some Europeans stereotype Americans yet simultaneously refuse to actually engage with Americans to get to know them better. The news they see and hear about the US is so fucking biased it's insane. They claim to be tolerant liberals yet engage in lazy xenophobia. Not to mention the weird obsession with American politics. They're hypocrites of the highest order.

Half of this comes from watching leftist American media, because leftists care more about what the rest of the world thinks and thus ensure that their media has international reach. We get one side of their internal propaganda war without any reference to the other unless we look for it, Bowser & Blue sum up this mentality:

Seems like the border patrol are preventing the US truckers from crossing, sending them back to Montana or to other border crossings 100kms away to enter Canada. Remember the Coutts people have opened a lane for US truckers, so this is very strange.

About 3-4 trucks just went by here (small town Southern On.) with horns blazing about 15 minutes ago. I'd imagine they're heading somewhere.

Yeah the crossing is definitely blocked again. The original blockade at Coutts is fluid, but a new blockade started up last night north of it which has shut down southbound travel.
