I agree on almost all points, but I would also caution that Jazz doesn't have any other identity than being a "girl". He has nothing to "go back to".
I guess David Reimer also didn't either, but his case was different. He was lied to and then had an awakening moment. Jazz can't have that. There are too many little niggling debatable points to modern trans dogma, dogma that Jazz has been mentally soaking in his whole life, that trying to "detrans" (detrans to what?) him would be incredibly inhumane.
Jazz would be soaked in self doubt and depression trying to make sense of it all. Reimer was from a different time where "oh fuck I'm male" was a profound realization. Modern tranny dogma has been aggressively fucking that line of thinking up. It's no longer profound or meaningful to be raised a girl but discover you're male.
And really, being open with Jazz' past was a weirdly effective technique to subvert his ability to ever wake up. He's aware he's male, just it's been explained away as irrelevant; there's no big revelatory scene in his future.
Although, they're working on this aspect. They're working to undermine sex as a concept, so if nothing drastic is done, future Jazzes will not know they're male, just some combination of "stereotypically male features with a female mind", and just set them up for a lifetime of unexplained suffering.
While I understand where they're coming from, I think "detrans Jazz" types are kinda shitty. Dude's fucked, thoroughly mentally and medically. Just leave him alone.
Like it or not, society permitted these kids to have surgery. We can prevent this in the future, but we still have a responsibility to take care of the ones that currently exist.
