Nick has talked about this in the past. Ralph had him on a few times when he was getting started, and Nick is loyal to that. It's a similar thing with Baked Alaska, both had him on when he was sub-1000 views and now he pays them back.
Unrelated, but his show is devolving a bit. He had a structure of intro, bit of personal promotion, small story, big story, superchats. But lately his show has had the personal stuff stretch out for 30-40 minutes, and the big story gets cut for time. He spends so much time rambling about minor things or his personal life or sucking his own dick that it's starting to harm the show. It's a big red flag of his downward spiral.
